Kudos to all involved especially the person making the investment, always good to see this... The one thing i would change is the rims and tires, centerline were cool but cragar ss's would really complete it... Awesome job and thank you to the aftermarket company's for still making this possible.👍

I am doing a 67 chevelle right now,
And i can tell you that this build , even if that car was absolutely Free, cost way more to build than it's ever Worth !!
You really gotta want one bad to spent that much money and Effort !!!
I am doing every part of my build and sourcing parts as cheap as possible and I'm already in $30,000 and still need the interior, bumpers, seals, and Dash cluster,
    WOW !!

My thoughts exactly I'm probably a little over a few thousand myself, and that's just sheet metal I still need drive train and interior not to mention what paint will cost since I am doing all the body work myself hopefully to save some money some one paid big bucks in this video build, like you said way more then it will ever be worth, Thankfully my 66 is a west coast car, California and she did not need half as much sheet metal as the car featured in this video,

Awesome project. We used to build cars like this in the late '70's with big block front springs, and run built small blocks so with the front end a little high, coming off the line all the weight would get thrown back onto the rear tires and they would hook up better. We kind of stole the idea from the Gassers that used to run straight front axles, and were crazy high in the front.
Very cool build. Glad to see people with vision, and deep pockets are saving these great cars from our youth.

Beautiful build. Can’t get over the rum choice though. To me, the shoes make the car along with the lines and paint color. This beaut needs corvette rally’s or even cragars. A beaut nine the less though with a ton of blood sweat and tears.

Car came out great, it would be nice to see how many total man hours and parts/ supplies. Seems like these folks went the extra mile to bring this car back.

Holy crap! There wasn't much to start with! I'm assuming the car had sentimental value. Looked like the only thing salvageable was part of the roof.

  • @reneekrueger962

Definitely NOT a SS396 to start with. Wrong grille, no holes in the tail pan for the SS emblem, 10 bolt rear end, no frame braces.
Hell of a build nonetheless. Stance is a bit much but great job on the body.

Like the color. Tired of seeing red on red , red on black, black , white and red. b, w and red.

  •  3 роки тому

The door to fender gaps are too big AND the car sits too high. The dark green color is depressing. Also the wheels are crap. Finally... WHY would you put one of those vinyl roof covers on after all that hard work ? They only retain moisture and, over time, rust the hell out of the windshield and back window sealing edges which results in leaks galore. I rate it an 82 out of 100.
