Just saw the group in Michigan Sunday night. November 2023. Very impressed with the whole show. Guitarist and bassist top notch musicians and they both seemed very geeked to be playing with Mr. Palmer. Don’t miss this tour! Satisfaction guaranteed.
I saw them live near San Diego. My dad's favorite band, It was a really great concert and Carl Palmer meet all the audience that attend the venue and took pictures with them. Amazing experience!
F L A B B E G A S T E D!!! Life long ELP fan, here.... The level of technique on display is jaw dropping! Mama mia! KUDOS to you Paul & Simon! We love this!🤟
As a long time ELP fan (the earlier the better) I am amazed, floored of the musicianship of guitar and bass. Of course we all know about Mr. Palmer. To replicate ELPs music the way these two have is phenomenal . Nice to see, and seems like its effortless playing , a sign of genius. Totally enjoyed the performance.
Paul, you are a genius representing the 21st century. I once again felt the overwhelming emotion of Emerson's performance when I first heard EL&P. You have incorporated tap playing into your musical background to such an extent that you have transformed the guitar into an instrument no different from a keyboard. Debussy's Clair de lune, which you play, is also a highly musical work. I would like to thank you for getting to know you so late in my life.
Just saw the show in Annapolis. Amazing performances all around. I attended my first concert ever, fifty years and five weeks ago…EL&P at Cleveland Municipal Stadium.
Unbelievable! Keith was my favorite piano/keyboard player ever. I'm a pianist/keyboard player and I tried playing Trilogy when I was in high school, when the record (!) first came out. I had to stop and start the record player to get a few bars at a time so I could play it. I didn't have a synthesizer, but I do now, since I've been in bands for many years. This is incredible. I met Keith backstage after a concert in Tarrytown NY. I am positive he would absolutely love this performance, and Carl is still the man! Everyone here is super talented. Thank you! My favorite ELP piece. I'm going to send a copy of this to my brother, who grew up on Trilogy as I did. Many thanks!
@@PaulBielatowicz will you play this Trilogy arrangement on March 1st in PA? Yes, it is a masterpiece. I will be there. Really looking forward to the show.
Awesome is the only word for your skills. So glad I got to see you at Northern Kin a few years back. Best three piece on the planet, because of your use of technology combined with amazing fret board work. Carls passion is always a joy to behold. Please keep rocking till I can see you again!
When this is sold as a single, definitely include a printed lyric sheet so people can read and hear what this song Trilogy is all about. This performance is one of a kind. So wow. Absolutely superb.
I'm so sorry those shows were cancelled, I was really looking forward to the European tour - sadly all but the UK dates were cancelled. Very disappointing 😢
I may have requested you guys do this a few years ago......So nice to see you play it live !!! Excellent !!! I grew up on ELP when my brother had Brain Salad Surgery. I still love that EPIC album and also all of ELP works. Don't worry...I LOVE YOU GUYS just as much !!! A very lovely tribute to Greg and Keith. Oh yea, I also love Rachel Flowers too. Cheers Paul, Simon and Carl !!! (And Chris Notto).
yeah, you guys are GREAT. anyone else would've gotten a Keith copycat on keys or such, but you REINVENT ELP. fantastic. No excuse for how good you guys are.
Thanks so much Evert. I think Keith watched one of our shows via facetime once - his son, Aaron came to a show and had his dad on facetime for the show. Unfortunately he never came to any of our shows himself
Holey Moley Paul !! Absolutely fantastic! I Love that album!! The 3 of you..hit it out of the park!!! Carl could not have picked anyone better to pay homage to ELP!
Effing magnificent!!! This is the first time I've heard you guys do this particular piece. It wasn't easy for me to keep from singing along on the Greg Lake vocal parts.
I have seen (and met them all on about five occasions) in UK. The musicians are excellent and entertaining. Got their albums, too. Looking forward to the next concert,😁
@@PaulBielatowicz it's a great bill, you guys with Alan Parsons, who I haven't seen in over 30 years. I last saw you guys in Bethel Woods with the Royal Affair Tour with Yes, UK, Asia, and...?
@@RichieG yeah, AP is great! We played with him & his band a few years ago. Looking forward to doing it again. Ah Woodstock - what a memorable gig that was!
Utterly superb. Three brilliant musicians working together to make a wonderful band and music that becomes far more than the sum of its parts. Congratulations.
That’s Midi Guitar 2 doubling everything I play with a synth sound. I told Jordan Rudess to make sure John Petrucci doesn’t find out about that software! 😂
@@PaulBielatowicz No problem Paul. Anything you guys play will be absolutely sensational, as long as there’s a 13th cord somewhere 😂😂 Maybe I’ll catch it in a future concert someday. In the meantime there’s always this video 😁🎸🔥
I was lucky enough to see the group play in Bologna Spring 2019 before the pandemic. This rendition of Trilogy is absolutely awesome but I can’t remember if it was included in the Bologna show. That was a great concert anyway.
Carl certainly knew how to pick his musicians very well, for both the guitarist and bassist sure make Carl as if he was with his late buddies Keith and Greg Indeed. Excelente band he put together. 😎👍😉🤘☠️🖤🍺💀
Never thought it could be replicated without keyboards. Bravo!!
a guitar with a synth effect pedal can do the job
For you guys to make that work without a keyboard is simply astounding.. That Trilogy album is a masterpiece, Well done Paul!
Thanks so much Michael 🙂
Ditto!
W/O keyboards and Vocals, remarkable
The bass played the left hand and the guitar played the right hand. Both covered the vocal lines. You two are top-notch musicians.
I've seen this lineup 4 times what an incredible show
Stunning to watch Carl at 73 with the same energy as 50 years ago...
Well.... for the first 30 seconds I wasn't convinced this would work without keyboards... but wow! Mind (and ears) blown! Well done guys!
Thanks so much, glad we came through for you! 🙂
