It looks like Hiya is actually listening to the feedback and improving their figures because their Evolved Godzilla has a less bulbus chest than in the promo images from a few months back and the dorsal fins are better painted.
I'm glad to see some big Goji creators acknowledging this. I'm a huge SHMA fan, but when you care about something you want the best for it. Figure mania said Skar King looked better, and bad paint isn't a big deal cause it can be fixed. When you have a platform, and you say/do things like that it perpetuates SHMA being able to keep producing these low quality controlled figures, and charge us hundreds (not for one figure obviously). I understand, and respect collectors fixing a problem themselves, but that borders giving SHMA the green light to keep up these shenanigans.
They have been for years. I’ve gotten a few figures over the years, but the only one I’d consider buying now is the 72 Goji; their quality has just gone down. Hiya toys seems to know what their consumers want, so I may buy a couple figures from them.
Its not even a comparison between sh and hiya with shimo. Hiya's shimo not only looks MILES better and more accurate, but its also a fraction of the price. What the hell is sh doing

Hiya clearly has the rights to Mechagodzilla, thus rounding out the Big 5. MV MechaG can't be far behind, and I'm guessing GMK Mothra and Ghidorah will pop up soon, maybe also Fire Rodan. What I'm really hoping is that Hiya branches out. For example, with GMK on the list, it only makes sense for them to do Baragon and round out that roster. Maybe they can beat SHM to making a GINO/Zilla figure or god for the really deep cuts like Varan or Kamoebas. I can dream, can't I?

Fun fact: the most likely theory regarding the Heat Ray Ultimate godzilla is that the reason it’s at a larger scale and there appears to be an odd line where the dorsal spikes meet the body is because it has light features. This means that Hiya toys is most likely the first company to make a godzilla figure (with more articulation than the Exquisite Basic line may I add) with actual light features. And it will probably be cheaper than a standard SHMA release
Honestly the ice spikes on the SH Shimo were the only thing i liked about the figure. Agreed with all the nitpicks you had with the figure especially the color. Hiya's models all for the most part look way more detailed/movie accurate.

Hopefully, when Hiya Toys does their OWN version of the 1954 Godzilla, and I'll have no doubt that they'll do, they'll make the joints smooth enough to play with, but not too loose to be annoying. I actually still have the first issue of S.H. MonsterArts Heisei Godzilla, Little Godzilla and Kiryu from Godzilla Agaisnt Mechagodzilla.
