Practice using a glass with water and a straw. You want to "lose" contact with your lungs. What you need to do is puff your cheeks with air, and use that air in your cheeks to blow through the instrument. This way you will have access to breathing in through your nose while playing through your instrument using the air in your cheeks. So using the straw, blow some bubbles to the water. Then do the process of puffing your cheeks, and using that air to blow bubbles as you breathe in your nose. If you can blow bubbles and breathe in at the same time, then you are doing it correctly. After getting very familiar with this process, then you can proceed to your instrument. Good Luck!
No I actually disagree. While that is a thing that I see a LOT I don't think this is the case here. You can here that that is his part right at the dramatic ending of the piece so he was probably unhappy with how he played it and wanted to do it right directly after so the wrong way wasn't stuck in his brain.
He does, however the material matters far less than the actual acoustical design. And that matters even less than the mouthpiece, reed combination. He uses a fairly open mouthpieces which is takes a lot of skill to control, but allows him great flexibility to do as he pleases with the clarinet.
I play all clarinets and in my band the Oboe is seated right next to the bassoon. Clarinets should be seated in front of the flutes and it's not that serious dude. :)
Martin played excellently! And the piece is so emotional!
Marin conducting Martin playing Martinsson. Merci.
Got chills multiple times throughout the performance. Superb technicality and emotional atmosphere, bravo.
Arguably the best clarinetist of our times. Stunning!
Une belle musique contemporaine et un clarinettiste charismatique, formidable !
Circular breathing for the win! Beautiful!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

Jorge Callandrelli and Eddie Daniels move NORTH! This is a good sign.
えっぐやっばわおおおおお
Wouldn't you have have one playing in an orchestra accompanying Martin Frost?
Its the hoodie :P
Martin Fröst, born December 14th 1970
Look again, he's on the back row, next to the bassoons. Look up standard orchestral layout. I've been playing the clarinet for almost 10 years...
The way he preserves his great tone whilst still in circular breathing form is ridiculous
Love the clarinettist in the orchestra at the end, just 'trying out' a few notes. Inferiority Complex much?
No I actually disagree. While that is a thing that I see a LOT I don't think this is the case here. You can here that that is his part right at the dramatic ending of the piece so he was probably unhappy with how he played it and wanted to do it right directly after so the wrong way wasn't stuck in his brain.
Does he play on a wooden clarinet? I've been told all professionals do... Just curious;)
He does, however the material matters far less than the actual acoustical design. And that matters even less than the mouthpiece, reed combination. He uses a fairly open mouthpieces which is takes a lot of skill to control, but allows him great flexibility to do as he pleases with the clarinet.
+Fernando Herrera Thanks!
YES!!!
Last time I checked, the flute wasn't played vertically... I meant 5:24
is a clarinett
He looks ALOT younger here then he do in the very newest videos of him
1:35 --> How?!
I play all clarinets and in my band the Oboe is seated right next to the bassoon. Clarinets should be seated in front of the flutes and it's not that serious dude. :)
Something tells me that conductor has a target on her back; can’t put my finger on it!🙏
@ch252525 WTF ?
Needs more tuba during the clarinet solos
He's not young here he has 42 years old XDD
He is ,no he has.
Lol it's an oboe.
