Great video. I bought a set of these bushings because of this video and have them all put on but nothing tightened. I noticed the factory only put blue loctite on the caliper bolts. I didn't notice you using loctite on anything so you think it's alright to just torque to 42 ft lbs and skip the loctite?
Thanks :) Yeah all those nuts are self-locking, they don't tend to back off. After you snug everything up, recheck it after your first weekender, things will settle a bit.
DG Adams - yeah we used to put a film of waterproof grease on them on the 800's, kept them looking like new. For some reason it hasn't been a problem on this machine so I haven't been worrying about it. Still good practice regardless
Thank you for posting these videos. I just installed a set of John's bushings on a 2015 900 and your videos helped out a bunch!
Nathan Arsenault - haha thanks, glad I could help. These bushings are really great, no play, no squeaks
Just received a bushing a shock kit from John. thanks for the videos. I see you are using green grease, do you use green grease on the drive line?
Bit late of a reply I'll admit, but hope the bushings worked out for you, and yeah, I use it on everything.

Best bushings you can buy.
Awesome vid. What kind of A-arms are those?
Rob Watson Thanks! they are from ORB Fabrication
Great video.
Thank you :)
Question, once installed how often should i grease?
Super duper late reply but umm... never? I tried to grease them again not long ago, and I got maybe 1 pump to go in some of them
Some anti-sieze on the bolt (along the center) goes a long way to keep them from corroding or rusting into the sleeve.

I don't think a bushing is suppose to work like that. That is a pivot point and the shaft should spin easily inside the Id of the bushings.
I wasn't sure about them being so tight either, but they have held up great. There is zero play, and the arms cycle smoothly by hand.
