    Same for the women. It is kind to add the adjectives. We got many Holy Sisters. Sayings like "All women are [insert colorful metaphor here]". Are simply unnecessary unless providing a blessing. 😊

      There are also good men outside the sphere of Christ's influence. They might not know his message but they live his teachings without ever having known them. The motivation for their good actions may be different but they are allies in our goal to improve and help those around us.

    May the Lord continue to be with you in your epic ministry Melissa!
    Jesus was the most manly man you will ever know. And His masculinity was; to love the Church as His bride, and to lay down His life for us.
    That's a man worth emulating, for men and women alike.

      Glad you found a good one. As humans we are communal by nature so to find a partner who is competent and cooperative really elevates the quality of life. I hope you're the same to him as he is to you. Do that and I think you'll live a life that's worth living.
      And sorry about what your coworker did. I hope you can use his actions as an example of what your husband could have been but didn't turn out to be and it helps you appreciate him more.

    Well... In my 70 years of life; I'd say that I have been my biggest problem. _(And, if anyone looks at themselves critically, they'll see that they too are their biggest problem. And, the more problems you are having, the further "off kilter," that you are.)_ So, the saying is true; If you want to change the world for the better, change yourself first.

    It's awesome to see people who are bold and courageous 4 Jesus Christ....and not ashamed of him and and who words and actions...match their beliefs and who walk in integrity and in faith.... Hebrews 4:12... Hebrews 5:11-14....... knowledge does not make a person mature or a leader....to all men or people......most people automatically think they were born to teach or to lead people....just because of the knowledge or title they attained ...1 Samuel 16:7....most people sre just worried about status...their images within the community and about clout and money..... 2 Corinthians 2:17....some men want to be in charge to lead people to them to follow them ..not Jesus Christ....they want ther own personal followers....every pastor should tell people that Jesus Christ is the one yo listen to and who is in charge of everyone and has the last word in everything and they need to listen to Jesus Christ not Men..... acts 4:19....2 Timothy 3;16-17.....

    Good clip , however while i understand the sentiment .. its not masculinity that is toxic itself .. it is when a male does evil things that have its source from evil spirits ..that makes it toxic ..

      Well yes. Most people using the term “toxic masculinity” mean “masculinity expressed in a toxic way.” It’s the conservative crowd that got angry at the phrase by misunderstanding it and then suddenly having the “enlightenment” to correct it to how everyone else already understood it.
      As for sin, that’s from the flesh, not necessarily evil spirits.

  • @shawizz
    @shawizz 5 місяців тому

    Toxic masculinity is when a man was speeding and whipped around a corner hitting into my bumper of my new 4-runner, denting and taking a chunk out of the paint- then when I get out and ask for his info he says “all you women overreact all the time. This is not big deal and I’m sure your husband will agree”
    Opening a door for me? Wanting to provide a house for me to make a home? Him telling me “I’ll get that” because it IS hard (or sometimes it isn’t) and he loves to be my hero? That is not toxic masculinity. That is a good man who loves to love his wife.
