1: In Boeing aircraft: control wheels are mechanically linked together before they go to several Fly by wire computers. Autothrottle: Boeing puts electromotors inside the throttle quadrant, to maintain the right position when the Autothrottle is active. Airbus has a static sytem, which requires the pilot to put the throttles in the right position before disengaging A/T. 2&3: Most Boeing safety systems have an override. They help the pilot regain normal situations , but don't restrict controls.
No… They have their own software for graphics, environment, clouds, weather, aerodynamics, etc. Microsoft might have helped a bit but it's not an open source, neither open to public.
no joke my company builds the Server racks for those systems and those alone are 10 million, then another 10 million for the software, then tack on another 8 million for the sale price of 28 million
I don't have any intention of becoming a pilot because I can easily get distracted. However, I was curious to see a real life plane simulator and instructor after watching Charlie Victor Romeo. I was also curious because I'm a fan of Air Crash Investigation.
Most of them use FSX with specially developed modules, others use X-Plane. But the ones owned by boeing, i have no idea. May be that ou may be completely different.
why if it is a Fly By Wire aircraft, the two yokes moves together, as well as the throttle control moves as the aircraft increase or decrease power (in the autothrust mode)??? what if I'm banking in more than 30 deegres and I don't let the yokes to correct the bank angle?? and what happens if I try to stall the airplane??
Some Simulators for Training Move about on Hydraulics. Simulator Does not Move at All. Meaning if you did a Hard bank you would not Feel it. But if you where in a Motion Simulator You Would feel the Hard Bank
I let you think what you want and don't want to criticize you, it's just my opinion and I'll keep it. I have flown neither a real Boeing nor an Airbus, which is why I can't say what it is like in real. But at least from all my Flight Sim experience, all the videos I watched and all the documentations I red, I prefer Airbus Fly-By-Wire Controls. And last but not least I really like their cockpit design. This is my taste of course :) Hope you understand.
el que mas me ha gustado mucho es el aterrizaje en aeropuerto de Málaga vendiendo de Barcelona bajar de pico entre nubes y altura es lo que mas me gusta
Bank angle auto correction big deal, fly by wire, these features have been in Airbus Aircraft almost since the early years of Airbus, and are used in all their aircraft. Boeing didn't come up with fly by wire, and the body in the right hand seat shouldn't have made out the 787 is something new with fly by wire technology
haha I was just going to mention that. its true airbus had that technology since 98' on A320 haha.. but when you come to speak about the exterior of the 787 i think its beautiful and sexy
+TrollediaBF Millions of dollars depending on aircraft type. You can build yr own. Go tho sites like FlightDecksolutions.com or Open Cockpit. You can buy panel or maybe build your own
As a former airline pilot and sim instructor, I'll say that this is a bit "hokey". He is demonstrating the 787 sim for a group of folks and his actions are in NO way similar to what actually takes place in training, in line flying or even just sim practice. Take this with a HUGE grain of salt. It ain't real folks !
I'm not that much into the Boeing 787, but when the pilot mentioned the bank security system, I laughed loud. Since Airbus does have this in their Fly-By-Wire aircrafts for almost 30 years now. Seems as Boeing had to realise that systems used in Airbus aircrafts aren't stupid at all! And last but not least it's my taste, but I personally hate the 787 cockpit and the outside of the aircraft.
That's stupid. What if you have to do something to save the plane, but the plane doesn't let you? Then you die. There was an SAS pilot who had an engine surge on takeoff and he had to throttle down but the plane didn't let him so the engine caught fire and he had to crash land.
"All my landings not on motion are perfect". Very good.
the 787 is one of my favourite aircraft. it looks so graceful wherever it is. i love it
expert pilot with nice flight simulator video. thanks for upload!
Nice landing man.

dear santa
amazing pilot!

This is unbelievable

I love the electronic checklists
Thank you for the answer, very complete.
GREAT AIRCRAFT!
the graphics looks like REAL
What are the two glass panels in front of the seats? Are they for HUD's?
Exactly that.
I toured this plant. Saw a 777 in the green "raw metal" finish land on the field after a test flight.
@RudeMcNasty Yes, but they cost over $1000 per hour to rent.
I don't have any intention of becoming a pilot because I can easily get distracted. However, I was curious to see a real life plane simulator and instructor after watching Charlie Victor Romeo. I was also curious because I'm a fan of Air Crash Investigation.
hehe, i love when discovery or hhistory puts those vids up about crashes and stuff. ;)
"All my landings not on motion are perfect."
airbuses have such protections since 80s-90s :)
The 787 is not the first aircraft that has this Protection... Even the 737 has that stuff which he used in the Video. :-)
Sergey Polumordvinov I don't like airbus
Fuck airbus
Most of them use FSX with specially developed modules, others use X-Plane.
But the ones owned by boeing, i have no idea. May be that ou may be completely different.
No level D professional sim uses FSX of anything else off the shelf.
The thrust reversers are activated on the floor ... hello!
Yeah he clearly stated it was a fixed non mention.

Does the first officer have any workload? I like the classic 737 way of flying.
God this is sweet.
@ChaosRebellion they do not cost $200000, they cost less then $100 000
antes que nada .saludos a todos los pilotos y sus tripulación......... que soies unos maestros en los vuelos
very good
can you select where you want the engine instruments.
i want to buy one
gulam ahia 15 to 18 millions depends on the option
@MAXwellchikenrice i agree with u man dc-9, 737-100 etc etc.... . and u can say that youre a pilot
AWESOME!!
"It turns by itself and gets you back below 30 degrees of bank"
WONDERFUL, BUT AIRBUS IS DOING THAT FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS ON THE A320!
Some Simulators for Training Move about on Hydraulics. Simulator Does not Move at All. Meaning if you did a Hard bank you would not Feel it. But if you where in a Motion Simulator You Would feel the Hard Bank
He's deliberately turned off the motion because of the observers behind him.
Nice and cool
As I know, V1 is not Rotate...
@Goncalo792 yeah...making pilots lazier...thanks airbus.
note: I don't actually believe that it's making pilots lazier, this is just satire.
I let you think what you want and don't want to criticize you, it's just my opinion and I'll keep it. Does anyone know if you can pay to use these for a few hours??
That is a motion simulator, just he had it off.
Due to part availability etc, its much cheaper to build a 737 sim.
@Juppie902 even the checklists are included. ^^
what software does this full simulators use?
Fantastico!!
@86ultraligero wow good to know im not the only one thinking so..
Does anybody know if these motion simulators can be rented for amusement purposes?
Yes, definitely. $300 should buy you about half an hour. Well worth it. The experience and realism is incredible.
Looks like Hawie mandel
Can the 787 land with auto thrust engaged?
how about buy?
Sadly, no. I think they use Virtual pilot 3D
el que mas me ha gustado mucho es el aterrizaje en aeropuerto de Málaga vendiendo de Barcelona bajar de pico entre nubes y altura es lo que mas me gusta
i can't wait to go do this on monday!!
Did you do it
@@hadigameman yes I did lol. I also build those 737 maxes now.
@@Frk2014 lucky man I barely know you but I'm proud
Just got checked out on one of these...55 hours of sim time

yes
How I can have a flight simulator like that for me? :-)
$30,000,000 US and it's yours.
o how cool i live in that area
That thing is 28 million dollars
Wow, I want one.
i always want a simulator like like that, mayby i shal by one :P
What software is usually used in such simulators?
generally the real deal. Like an FCC from the sim is just what it it is, a real FCC etc.
Would there be air attendants to serve meals?
Bit cramped in a simulator :)
Excellent instructor and silly 'crew'
Was it a fixed non motion simulator?
No it's a full motion sim with the motion switched off.
Dear Santa....
anywhere to buy parts or this itself?
+TrollediaBF Millions of dollars depending on aircraft type. You can build yr own. Go tho sites like FlightDecksolutions.com or Open Cockpit. You can buy panel or maybe build your own
No laughing! This is serious business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
scenery ? :D
He flies that thing like I drive a car. Complaining about traffic. Except the radio knobs are for autopilot instead...
Im sacred for flights
I want one of thoses
what airport ??
KSEA
funny how the people behind the captain are laughing and making jokes....was hoping he would have caused a fake crash to shut them up quick -_-
@scanmannz oh boy... you're not gonna get much love for that comment....
can you make me one
now 778
is this real
@fontanamatheus 50.000.000$ and it is yours.

You can disengage auto throttle and other auto flight assistance. Your point is invalid
ill stick to my laptop and mouse
ok
Veel geavanceerder, meer technisch, fly-by-wire meer uitgebreid, groter etc.
The ground
If I won a Lottery I would bought this for my Mansion home in a very big room all boing and airbus simulator real motion.
or a 1st hand one for $100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
This cockpit looks like a fucking ipod. I miss old airliners....
wait for the ps5
I would love to take a flight on a Dreamliner....
No Punjabi is not allowed
Hi Mr Racist, everyone can fly
Bank angle
Like fsx
no
whats this laughter all about?
So real seeming you fall into the illusion.
level D sims are very very plausible
ummm... I dont think so (u airbus fan bro?) and also to replace sexy with AWESOME
