I like these bumpers just because of the novelty. I don't know any other cartoon installment show that had bumpers where viewers get to see what it's like to be on the tail end of all the wacky slapstick moments that happen in these cartoons, from cliff falls to getting crushed by piano to trying out rocket-powered roller skates. If only they can be redone as VR videos that you can experience with a headset.

Much like the Small World video, the Acme Hour is another block that always reminds me of how great Cartoon Network used to be during its golden era from the late 90's and early 2000's, most precisely on the Powerhouse era, which I still consider the channel's #1 era. And boy, will I tell you these first-person bumpers can't be more nostalgic than they already are!
Now, here's a fun fact about the block: here in Brazil/Latin America, along with the famously classical cartoons we all know and love such as Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Droopy, Tex Avery, MGM, Popeye's Fleischer/Famous Studios shorts and Rocky and Bullwinkle, the block also aired some other shows that weren't usually seen in the US version, such as Casper the Friendly Ghost and Friends (the Harvey Comics gang, if you don't know), Columbia Pictures and UPA's animated shorts (all part of the Totally Tooned In package, such as Mr. Magoo and the Color Rhapsodies) and Popeye's 60s TV show (you know, the one which also had some shorts directed by Gene Deitch, who also worked on Tom and Jerry's most infamous era ever, IMO). I guess they aired some other cartoons besides these, but I can't remember exactly. At least, I give you some examples of what it was like back then.
And here's a little correction: in LA/Brazil, the block continued using its classic first-person bumpers until 2007, when it was last aired on very early weekday mornings, around 6 A.M. or something like that. Then, it returned in circa 2009, but now with the 3D Looney Tunes bumpers, until they discontinued the block once and for all in 2012, just like you said in the description. Therefore, if you'd like to upgrade and correct the informations about the Latin American version, it will be a pleasure. And you're welcome for all my help, I'm always there for this.
Hope you liked the comment, as well. Anything else you want to say, just leave me a note, OK? More salutations straight from Brazil!!!
P.S. Why do you hate the 3D Looney Tunes bumpers so much? I mean, sure they're not that wonder or that realistic, but I thought they're pretty OK and normal, IMO.

Actually, according to someone else, the LA/Brazil version actually lasted longer, to around 2013.

Fun Fact: On Cartoon Network Latin America and Brazil, "Acme Hour" stayed for much longer, staying until 2013, during the CHECK IT Era, and the time was always in the morning at 5am.

You're right, I thought they aired the block until 2012, but it was 'til 2013, actually. And I do remember when it was aired on very, very early mornings, at 5/6 am or something like that, though I never used to watch it back then.
