If I could go back in time…Mama’s public school has taught my children so much more than academics. It’s a constant battle to keep them aligned with truth and purity. The world is a very dark place right now and our children are under massive attack. It is a joy to see a new generation of mama’s taking back territory and getting back to the basics!

As the youngest child in the homeschool room- I grew up learning SO MUCH from under the homeschool table. I was reading early and ended up graduating high school two years early because I was able to work alongside my older siblings.

I really enjoy your homeschool videos and day in the life videos. Really encouraging since I’m in the same season of life :) I don’t know, there’s something about watching someone in the same walk of life, with the same situation that makes you feel like your not alone.
I have a newly 4yr old & an almost 3yr old. I am going to start homeschooling them & have felt like I had literally no idea where to start. Just today I decided to do a Christian curriculum, but once again, I had no idea where to start or what curriculum to use. Then I hop on here & see you posted this video not even 24hrs ago! I used the good and the beautiful curriculum in the past. Just be aware that their beliefs are Mormon based. No offense to anyone, just fyi :) be blessed on your decision. It’s different for every family and child!
@@anastasiac7244exactly what I was going to comment. From what I thumbed thorough, did not see much pointing to Christianity so I dove deeper and realized it was created by mormons. So I ended up with Masterbooks and some Answers in Genesis. We also really liked the Playful Pioneers curriculum
I have a 4 and 2 yr old. I recommend heart of Dakotas little hands to heaven. We are doing it now. Very open and go and easy to implement.
I do not have any children yet but I really want to homeschool and have a biblical household. I really enjoyed this video.

Ooh I love the idea of having them explain the lesson to a stuffed animal! Milena, you are about one step ahead of me in grade levels and number of kids so this video was a blessing to me! I also wanted to mention that I loved the footage in this video, it was fun to watch while getting some meal prep done.
Such a great video! I think every mom needs to be encouraged to pour into their children whether it’s structured homeschool and / or really just pouring into them with books, hobbies and undivided time if they are in a different schooling option.

As a homeschooling mom of 4 I feel So Encouraged by this video .
Although my daughter goes to kindergarten and my son a part time day care I loved this video! Especially the beginning part talking about how kids learn through play! My husband speaks Spanish and I’ve been struggling with ways to teach my kids Spanish being the SAHM (even though I’m not fluent). But this encourages me to just have fun with it and do a little bit every day during play time. Also how do you have time for other house chores/taking care of all the animals because if feels your day is busy with keeping kids on the nap schedules/homeschool in the mornings and afternoons?
Homeschooling is such a blessing. So beautiful to see this❤ it’s a lot of work but such meaningful work

Curious about this too? My daughter was speaking Spanish and now she just wants to speak English. She’s no longer fluent in Spanish and I would love for her to communicate with her grandparents who speak Spanish.

Yes! In our family one parent speaks french and the other english and our daughter is fluent in speaking and understanding in both languages. Its a blessing!
Gosh, this is SO peaceful, beautifully put together and encouraging. THANK YOU, for sharing this. I feel fresh ideas and excitement back in my homeschooling journey. I also have three kids the same age as your older three and I’m pregnant with our 4th (rainbow baby🤍). Sometimes I feel very tired and overwhelmed because of the nausea and fatigue that has come with pregnancy, but I now have ideas on things I can still do while growing our baby in the womb. Love this!!! How do your kids spend 6 hours outside? I am so curious! Are you with them? Is it 6 straight hours or broken up? Do you have a fenced yard or is it more of going on a walk altogether? Hi Milena, thank you for sharing this. What a blessing to see how your family does home education. I’m also navigating homeschooling with multiple children, including a 4 month old baby. You mentioned that you do piano and Portuguese lessons. Do your kids do private lessons in person or is this done online or through an app? My husband and I have discussed doing piano lessons and would like to give our children the gift of a second language, like Portuguese or Spanish, but we’re not sure how to make that work with our schedule and financially, as we are part of two co-op’s, as well. I’m interested in what your family does 🤍

I just wanted to say if you gave your little honey in the beginning of video, ive heard that honey before 1 can be harmful to babies. Just something to look into. Not judging, its your baby, just wanted to inform you just in case ❤

Hi Milena, I know you used to be very big on Montessori, do you still follow that model? I’m a former teacher recently turned SAHM. I am praying to be able to homeschool my children but honestly early education makes me nervous lol. I taught upper elementary and that’s where I feel most confident. My baby only turned one this past July and I’m due with baby #2 in August so I still have time to research homeschooling curriculum. Really appreciate these videos and links to all the resources, thank you!

Its better to use a wooden spoon for the honey somit stays full of vitamines
I just wanted to let you know they do make dry erase crayons. I switched to crayons after my toddler kept staining her shirts with dry erase markers.
Milena where did you find those wooden addition manipulatives? Loved those and couldn’t find on your amazon storefront
Narration. Let your children retell what they learned. Copy work and dictation from about 2nd grade. Model excellent grammar and vocab and clarity thru excellent quotes from classic literature gleaned from your read alouds. I'm pretty sure this is Charlotte Mason's approach, but I never got around to reading her books.
I’m starting this year!
When I was a kid my parents gave me loads of educational playbooks, creative activities with paint, craft, legos etc and we had a corner of the house dedicated to all of this; not to mention a beautiful big (for the suburbs) back yard with chickens and a garden. This was all supplementary to traditional classroom education, along with extra-curricular activities and family daycare services that didn't cost the earth.
Nowadays being a child seems so boring :(
So few children are being intellectually stimulated. The ones who are, are so far and few between that they aren't able to interact and build friendships. Furthermore, public education is so ruined now because children aren't being raised by their parents and community in a way that supports their formal education, EVERYTHING is put on the teachers and schools.
What can I do when I want to homeschool them but it’s not allowed in my country? We visited Christian private schools but none of them wanted us (either or child was too strong willed or money was the problem). What can I do?

I'm always confused as to why homeschoolers use that verse of the bible to teach thy children, because it refers to God's commandments. Am i wrong for not being able to see the division or just confused?😢🤔

This is a little off topic from homeschool, but I plead for PRAYER for our local birth center!!!! We were informed this week that the hospital that runs our birth center will no longer allow births to take place there. This is the ONLY birth center in the state of Nebraska, meaning the only means of obtaining birth care outside of the hospital has been taken away.
Please pray for a reversal of this decision. Please pray for peace for the mothers who had intended and hoped to deliver at the birth center and are now being forced to birth in the hospital.

Maybe? I fed mine a few tastes here and there and they were good. I have a 5 year old. No allergies.
She wasn't feeding the baby the honey.. she was putting a spoonful into her coffee drink🫣
The baby didn’t eat it, she did. Just holding baby in the crook of her arm weird as she leaned to lick it off her fingers. I too hold my baby like that all the time, i need two hands !
