- Incredible and rare cloud to ground lightning during thundersnow that was producing snow, sleet, graupel and hail all in one sitting. Most amazing thing i have seen in a long time.
WOW, AWESOME, MATE!!! I remember I had a had a RARE thundersnow at my area once like 8 years ago or so, but sadly was like 6-7 years before began this channel. But hopefully can get one and record it soon this Winter 2024-25 or so!! Good luck, mate, and NEW SUB HERE!!! Keep it up!!!!
Nature never ceases to amaze me! Wow!
It's the battle between the warm air and the cold air, a frontal boundary..
It's rare to have hail during a snowstorm and it's also rare to have hail and sleet at the same time.
A couple years ago there were severe thunderstorm warnings in the middle of blizzards in Minnesota. The radar was showing snow but a lot of it was quarter sized hail mixing in with it. Really weird stuff.
Positive strikes?
(As in thunder having a lot of Base).
For such a close lightning strike at ~ 600 m away is thunder quite silent...
Trust me, it's wasn't quiet. I had the mic on the camera turned down so it wouldn't distort too much. Believe me it was loud.
And yes. Even it if it was not as loud. The heavy snow bands block the immediate sound reflect.. Vey nice video.
@@UKStormChaser O.K. :), I also had witnessed two thundersnows (Czechia, Prague) and those thunders were about 1/2 quieter than common lightning and missed almost all high pitched tones, distance of strike was about 1.3 km / 0.8 mi.
I liked your footage :)
Lightning can strike people in Thundersnows and buildings too.
@@Catloverplayer Well. It's just a normal thunderstorm in the end with some different charatristics. x3
Read somewhere that a lot of lighting from storms thar are snow producers are positive.
