Warm wet crevice
Dude, you and the family gotta come back up soon! Had so much fun, and boy are you all in for a treat with the other videos we filmed… 👀
Shane are you the GOAT?
Lol no reps
I got into fighting through fightTips and then I started watching hard2hurt so it's insane seeing them collab. Also it's very surprising to me that Shane is not tall, he always seemed tall to me.
he's 5'8 i think.
icy mike is just stalkier and stouter
Mike is a killing machine. have you seen his monster legs? This man is strong
Mike now is a definition of collab
Cuz of his oozing confidence and never slouching.
Welcome to hard2hurt, where Icy Mike finds all the reasons to legally sneak attack people lol
Good video as always
Nice little reference to Shane's video about the weirdest tip to win any street fight (keeping a mouthguard on you at all times). You're an OG, Mike!
lmao that brings me back. Shane walking through the streets talking to his cam lol nostalgic
!FIGHTTIPSCOLLAB!
As a halfling rogue, Mike gets to add a number of d6s to his damage when he hits an opponent that can't see him.
i hate how you made martial arts and dnd are integrate so well lmao
Mike is absolutely a little goblin, not a halfling
@@abdul-salamdreza6774 they make each other better.
Shane didn't have a mouthgard in his pocket AND he suggested a sidekick almost immediately?? Not living the gimmick, brother
That's an OG reference bro I remember his fight story
Out of ALL the ideas you could’ve done for a first video with Shane this is what you discuss??? I love it Mike lol
We've covered it. You might end up stuck with that person.
To be fair, a sidekick to the small of the back would probably be plenty debilitating. Massive whiplash and a ruined sciatica would take the fight out of most dudes, even flying high on adrenaline.
yeah... scary stuff
As long as they're standing still. If he moves a little the result could be weird / unexpected.
Yup. The human skeletal structure has evolved to protect the front of the body, not the back. Any trauma to the back, especially the lower back can be devastating, even with little force.
@@hard2hurt Hey man! I love the idea of this, but my only question is if the ref is watching in Muay Thai rules could it be mistaken for a punch to the back of the head and get me deducted a point? I'm tempted to use it but I'm not sure. I don't know if you would have a clear answer, but either way if you responded to this I would be stoked!
Love your videos, man. This one is really cool.
@@damienholland8103 Exactly. I think results are more random that some people may think
In extreme skying/sky jumping there were some athletes crash on their backs at 100 km/h. Some get back to feet while others couldn't and got left with broken spine, literally destroyed kidney etc
Life actually thrusted this upon me years ago. My answer was the hardest soccer kick to the nuts that I could muster. I'm not talking a little tap you would do to your buddy. I was kicking a field goal basically, like a "lift a dude 1/2 an inch off the ground" kick.
Did it end the fight completely? No. But it certainly took some fight out of him.
Like the great clint smith quote "will a shot to the balls end a fight? No but it's a hell of an introduction. Hi my name is fate and it's only going to go down hill from here"
@@castiel241 that's a great line haha
That was my answer. I've done it in sparring, but always pulled it.
I feel a great disturbance in the sack after reading that
@@TubeArmadillo sure, but behind an unsuspecting person it sure is easier.
I agree with you that, in a fight, they're harder to land than people think. But if you get a completely free one and your opponent then has to fight with an imploded testicle it's an advantage.
Question for Viewers: if you had a free shot, what would you do?
If I'm defending someone else, I'm going for a step-through overhand elbow to the cerebellum.
Side shot to the knee. It's not lethal, but it's enough to incapacitate someone if they can't stand, they can't fight.
The man berries.
palm to the back of the head, bas rutten style
Stinger whip!
Love this topic a moment where a “free shot” came in to play that jumps to my mind for MMA is when Francis ngannou KOd JDS with a hook to the head from behind.
OMMG yes me too
Shane's reactions to everything in this video make me appreciate the guy that much more.
- Free shot from behind in serious self-defence scenario: kick to the groin or RNC, depending on situation (namely number of potential threats).
- Less serious scenario (i. e. breaking up a fight between 'friends'): pull shoulders back and down while (stop)kicking standing leg.
- From catching the leg and taking the back in sports fight: depends on rule set, i. e. sweep or RNC for grappling, but I really like the version in the video, as well.
- Defence against video version: Moving away (as shown) is great. Another alternative would be a spinning back fist (like Bas Rutten liked to do). Pretty good chances of catching an over eager pursuer, though somewhat higher risk than just moving away.
PS: Perfect outro! ;-)
[Ah Edwards vs Thompson... the golden Era of mma. Awesome video! Mike comes with the innovative scenarios.]
one of my favorite knockouts
good to see Mike collabing and helping new up n coming youtubers grow
I'm trying to help this little guy get going.
Took you long enough to make this crossover happen
I’ve been in this situation multiple times in security, though I was never trying to hurt the guy. Every time I just grabbed them by the jacket collar and dragged them to the ground. It’s surprisingly easy to do lol. When they were grabbing someone else its a bit more complicated, though
amazing collab!!!! thank you so much! i've watched you guys for a while now and i must say, you guys put out real quality work! keep pushing! but most importantly , enjoy it!
Great to witness both channels mixing skills and having fun together 👊
Iv been waiting for this collaboration for ever! It finally happened!
This should happen more often! Solid stuff.
Awesome to see you two together!!!
Thanks...
Always great stuff. Love when all of you guys do these collaboration vids.
Mike you are the funniest martial arts UA-camr man. I love the videos. I love the collabs.
moooreeeeeeeeee I could watch these 2 for hours such an energy!
Great collab and awesome chemistry between you guys!
Mike is the GOAT. My wrestling coach entered me in a kickboxing tournament (won last week)for my cardio, took 3 months of Kyokushin Karate, Boxing, and binged your Dirty Boxing videos and managed to turn my trex arms into an advantage. Thanks.
Was waiting for this collab ever since i saw your tag on his new wall, great stuff!
These collabs are insane, you love to see it!
This honestly made my day
I had been waiting for this collab to happen. FINALLY
This is the collab I've been waiting for
i've been following both of your channels for years, im waiting for this collab to happen thankyou for this icy mike and shane fazen 👌🏽 hope to meet you guys in person 👌🏽
Fun to see you guys together.
Awesome!
Fight tips was the first channel I started watching for fighting, andShane convinced me to finally take lessons.
Great to see you two together.
☺️👍
would love to see some sparring between you two!
It would be boring.
@@hard2hurt lemme guess... more mental games instead of throwing shots at eachother?
Shane is too fast for me.
Love this collab!
Mike's energy brings out the best of Shane.
Great stuff as always Mike! Thanks!
Free shot from behind in a street scenario- Cupped Gerber Slap:
1. Low risk
2. Requires very minimal space
3. High KO/ stun probability
4. High probability adversary (Even if not KO'd) temporarily loses control of hands/arms. Opens a wide set of follow up options.
The collab we have been waiting for
It's about damn time for this collaboration guys!!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed, commenting to boost this in the algorithm 👍
Two of my favourite martial arts sources together? Be still my beating heart!
This is a collab. I would love to see more of.
I've incorporated so much into my Muay Thai and karate aresnel from both of these guys
2 of my favorite UA-camrs, cool! More of this please 😇
My reaction to someone slipping behind me has always been to turn while throwing my elbow "back" to lead the way, so honestly that jumping hook is my worst nightmare. I might catch you in the ribs but my face would be completely exposed.
Hi Mike, loving your channel. I'm from the UK where anything is viewed as a weapon by the police. However, I have watched a few videos where bodyguards 'claim' if the law in a country prohibits mace or pepper-spray they use small cans of hairspray. Its effect is to clog breathing and limit sight. Wondered, as I've seen your mace in the face video from 2019 if you would consider doing a video using hairspray as a self-defense alternative to mace or pepper spray.
just make sure its no lighters involved... cuz thats an obvious problem
@@crustybomb115 No, just hairspray to the face.
Where I'm from, pepper spray is illegal but I carry it anyway. I have a responsibility to break oppressive, senseless and artificially crime-increasing laws. Plus, I have been attacked by animals more than searched by cops, and legal CS spray was completely ineffective against animals.
Is there a UK party that wants to write realistic self-defense laws ? Vote for them.
@@daniel-zh9nj6yn6y none of the major parties in britian support giving more rights to the people
Mike I have watched all your shit 3 or 4 times over , you have to start posting more often man , ur killing me small’z
i got 3 kids and own a gym homie! which one do you want me to give up on?
@@hard2hurt Maddox is the man of the house now Mike lol. Time to 100% focus on UA-cam haha
@@hard2hurt ok mister responsible adult , way to make me look stupid and selfish lol
This collab...It’s finally happened!!! 😩
The man, the myth, the legend.. Shane Fazen!
Now that's a really awesome crossover! 🤩
Best video yet!!!!!!
Great to see you guys together in the same vid. 🙂
Had to expect this collab eventually.
I have wanted this collaboration badly for so long.
Best collab!
The greatest collab of all time
Can't believe it, icy Mike and Shane, that's great!
it's cgi
Great collab
My head is about to EXPLODE! Icy Mike and Shane collab? It's crazy!
Hell yeah my favorites!
My gosh, finally!!! I love all the bantering u and Shane got going on. Mouthguard in the pocket, the snake pit of how you throw a hook (palm facing you is the only way, lol).
Just freaking awesome, can't wait to see more Icy Mike. Hats off to you sir
I always had it in my mind that in this scenario, if I'm right behind you.... I'm going elbow behind the ear/back of the head as many times as I can. This was my not-sport-legal plan. But the technique on this video would work just as well in both support and sd it seems. Great stuff.
dear mike,
i think this is one of the best videos youve done. i dig the collab but i love the effectiveness of the technique. the mma clip is perfect for context! i know it may be hard but try to include more clips of real world context(streetlights,ufc,boxing,etc.). ithelps novice ppl like me understand the effectiveness and makes the doubters stfu. thank you for the continued content. you are one of my favorite youtubers and SENSEI'S!
- L8niteSasuke
Mike finally hit the big leagues baby woooooooooo
Dude Shane's techniques are so aesthetic
yeah he's super clean, i'm jealous
The crossover of the century
About damn time!
Nice collaboration
That ending was great 😂… “think this good enough for fight tips?”…. Hard 2 hurt outro 😭
“Uhm..”
@@fighttips 😂😂😂
Two distinct sandpapers awesome
I love that ending
Cool move Mike.
This is a collab I could only dream of
The collab no one asked for but never knew we needed
This is the most incorrect comment I've read so far today... and that's a pretty high bar.
Ferguson vs Kikuno just released as a free fight from the UFC and it's a wonderful example of when sneaking someone is possible in pro fights. Kikuno got hurt and literally started running away, Tony caught him with a right hook from behind lol
The collab we didn't know we needed
Pretty sure everybody knew they needed it!
We've known for years we need this, they've even referenced each other on their channels before, thought it would never happen 😂
That intro was awesome
Two of my favourite fighting channels :-D free shot ? Kidney shot or Rare naked choke.
The greatest collab in cinematic history
Mike reliving a vicious game of tag
When I actually had to do this in a schoolyard brawl fifteen years ago I grabbed a RNC. Badly of course, because I didn't actually know BJJ but even now it seems like a good idea.
Hey Mike! Hope you’re well, I’ve had a question for a while, maybe you’ve covered it somewhere else. My question is: What are some things others could do if they witness someone being assaulted? And a follow up: What are some things kids could do if their parent is in an altercation?
Thank you!
Pausing at the 2 minute mark. My go to attacks as a bouncer/doorman if I'm trying to stop something from behind have been chokes, elbows, and slams ... that Fedor hook as well.
Free Shot: 0:40 Either lunging elbow right above their spine/below their occipital. Or a leaning full weight gorilla cannon fist hook to the same spot. Assuming its war status attacks allowed.
Oh yeah, I use that move all the time. Only instead of the hook punch I grab both shoulders and drag the guy to the ground or knee him in the tailbone.
Shane collab pog
Nice collab!
Would love to see y’all do arena combat
we need Mike and Shane in arena combat now
Shane "Scorpion" Fazen with the MK spinal finisher
Makes the most icy mike technique: "Do you think this technique is good enough to go on Fight Tip?"
Shane: "Uhmmm..."
Boom outro.
You had me in tears. 😂
Agreed, you do sound like a 12 year old about to do something really cool at 22:55
Great video and i loved the mouthguard reference, you guys are awesome!
FightTips🙌
Not bad, another thing I’ve never thought about.
Cool Bas Ruten-like contact sound effects from Mike too!
i can't not
Karate in my garage got me to Tae Kwon Do, which got me to Kung Fu, which led to Sanshou, and to MMA, and a career in Law Enforcement...why you knocking garage karate lol
who the hell is knocking it?
