It is unfortunate what he is going through at the moment, the new kids nowadays never witnessed his true greatness, and people forget too quick who he was. This man birthed a new generation of footballers. He is a goat.
Ronaldo's 07-08 was arguably the best individual season in Premier League history but far from Ronaldo's best season. The scary thing is he hadn't even entered his prime yet. 2010-2014 was Ronaldo's prime in terms of completeness, nothing he couldn't do.

Also, unpopular opinion, but I think 21-22 at Man.United might be one of his best seasons if you take context into account. I can't think of many other players (if any) who would've done what he did in such a terrible team.

As a long time United fan, Ronaldo’s era was the most exciting time to watch. 1996-2001 teams are probably more systematic and effective but there’s nothing more fun to watch Cristiano tore midfielders and defenders every week.

It looks easy but I am gonna put this out there , just running on the pitch is very exhausting for players and this guy used to do his step over and feints and skills with same intensity throughout and still generate enough power to kick the ball from ranges. I mean that’s out of this world. The stamina , the gameplay and overall athleticism.

I remember I was 13 years old watching euro 2004, back then, I was (still am) a huge classic football buff and I was fascinated with this brazilian player, Garrincha, a pure right winger in the golden era of football, that used to have a repetitive but devastating dribble, always reaching the touchline and crossing, the move looks simple, but not even the best ones of the time could stop him.
During the Portugal tournament , I started to notice this kid, shirt number 17 with blonde highlights wreaking havoc in the right side of the field, there was something about him, he possessed fancy step overs, had blistering pace and always seem willing to attack, seemingly unafraid to dare.
I noticed his signature dribble, a feint, beating opponents with pace and finally crossing or attempting to shoot, it was like if Garrincha spirit was alive again in this kid. Never passed back unless it was absolutely mandatory.
Since that tournament I knew I had seen someone special, someone that was going to get into the annals of the sport.
16 years later, that scrawny kid with the blonde highlights and huge piercings would become in my opinion, in the second most complete footballer the world has ever seen, only behind O rei Pelé.
People now recognize him as the super fit, record smashing, goal scoring machine that is the best keeper´s nightmare. But for me in the early 2000´s, who witnessed the madness this guy used to bring into the premier league, has become stampled in my head. For me, the last pure right winger, until his transformation. Thanks Legasus for bringing back the memories of the once greatest dribbler in the world. Great video.

These days Ronaldo was truly a beast. He tends to play as a winger in these days so he was not been able to score too many goals. He himself didn't focused on scoring goals he was a phenomenal playmaker in those Golden Days. During this era, only two players were skillful, Ronaldinho and Cristiano, the Brazilian Ronaldo was around 30+ and was declining, and Robinho was usually injured and wasn’t as consistent like both ronnies, anybody that watched football back in the day knows that both Ronalinho and Cr7 were two best skillful players, but personally I’d rank R10 ahead because from 2005-06 he was in his prime and CR7 wasn’t YET!
Once there was a time when i was searching a player who is the most skillful. Then I first heard the name of Ronaldinho from my father but at that time he also said that CR7 is also best in skill. He has also said that CR7 has done some uncommon skills and dribblings and anybody couldn’t do that. From then my favourite players are CR7 and Ronaldinho. Ronaldinho and Ronaldo are really best in skill and dribbling.
