I know that Messi outscored him by 13 goals in this season but individually Ronaldo was a better player despite scoring less, he had everything! Also consider all of Messi's goals amounted to a just a CDR this season while Ronaldo was pivotal in Madrid winning La Liga again after 4 years! It was such a shame Madrid lost the penalty shootout in the semifinals of the UCL vs Bayern. I reckon had they gone through to the finals and had won the Champions League, Ronaldo deserved/should have won the Ballon D'or regardless of Messi's record-breaking 2012.
