This I more than we perceive. This is a look inside every emotion at rapid pace. A complete cataclysmic bomb of brain functionality. The peak to a low..
At first I didn't understand what I was listening to, now I listen to it again and now I know that this is music, I even identify with that buggy and indefinite style that it has, I'm a glitch.
not as much vaporwave as it is lo-fi hiphop. this subgenre of lo-fi hiphop is called lo-bass. the only place where you can find songs with the same gennre is on the subreddit r/LoBass, which you can find here: www.reddit.com/r/LoBass/ i also recommend checking out aNTOJE's bandcamp page, you'll find so much more of this genre. buyung.bandcamp.com/
Vaporwave emerged at the same time as this, so I'm not sure if this was a huge influence on it. Maybe this is even influenced by vaporwave. Vaporwave is a more simple genre as well, whereas this track uses multiple synths, basses and a singular sample of an acoustic version of a rap verse, I believe. Most of the melodies you hear here are also played originally by aNTOJE, and not sampled. This is a more complicated genre, and i don't see the sense in evolving backwards, although some genres or artists might have done something similar. This is clearly its own separate genre, but i can see the similarities with vaporwave.
@@lightbreathermusic I can see what you mean but it could be argued that by getting a complicated genre and taking its essence to form a more "simplified" version of the genre isn't necessarily evolving backwards, genres don't need to get more and more complicated as they keep diversifying with time. Take dubstep for an example, it started as this underground complicated and deep genre but then was taken by people like skrillex and made into repetitive loops with hard bass that was played at frat parties (not saying that's a bad thing) and as a result of this simplification it exploded and became an international phenomenon. On the point of date though you're completely right, I didn't realise vapourwave was that old. I think the first track I listened to from the genre was late 2014 and back then the music crowd I hung out with knew nothing of it so I thought it was still underground. All in all this likely was inspired by vapourwave and chillwave not the other way around, my bad. I still stand by my point with music evolution hehe
