When it comes to criminal defendants, the wealthy get treated better. And when it's wealthy victims the authorities look harder.. Im glad she was caught, and justice served. I just wonder how hard they would have looked if she was poor...

Poor people can't afford good lawyers, bond or traveling to foreign countries.
Knowing U.S. Marshalls, just as hard. The search would even take more effort since for someone allegedly poor, no money for travel, it would be domestic and the USA is a much bigger place to hide than Costa Rica. The Marshalls are like Texas Rangers, they get their man, or woman. Neither gets any reward money, just their pay.

Armstrong IS poor - tapped out, she was declared indigent in court. The cash she got from her jeep was it. Most everything in Austin including the house she was living in belonged to Strickland.
