The front grill on yours, down under, looks so much better than mine here in the U.S.
Thank you for the feedback
I don't know what they were on when they designed the US front.
It is an upgrade you can buy when buying this at least in Australia.
Great video, just ordered a new XT Touring, April 2024.
Can't wait
Hope you enjoy it!
Great video as you explained everything in layman’s terms rather than very technical lingo
Thank you, I'm sometimes not sure if I should use the more technical terms or just my simple understanding of it. Glad to get the feedback.
So I'm getting my Outback XT in May, we Canadians don't get a full sized spare unless we buy the Wilderness model so you're one up on us there.👍
I chose to use one of my winter tires in place of the cheap and smaller spare. Only problem is the foam tools holder that does not fit with a regular tire.
The ultimate Dad mobile! My daughter loves it.
That is fantastic! Thank you for watching
Did I miss the part where you commented oin ride, what it was like to drive, what the ride was like etc...
It was a great car to drive. I didn't have it for very long though, so I don't want to overstate my experience with it.
Awesome review
Glad you enjoyed it
Canada calling, love your videos, thank you. Our Outback XT's are only rated for 3,500 pounds towing capacity while you Aussies are 5,291 pounds. Our turbos are about 15 horse power more too. Can someone please explain?
This guy is South African, not Australian.
@@cianmacken5475 Oh okay, thanks you.
Hi Steve. I've never fully understood why towing capabilities are different in different countries. I'm sure there are many factors at play. My videos are made in Australia, so all the stats I provide are Ausie. The accent is South African 😊 Thanks for all the great feedback.
australian tow specs of any car is almost always higher than in n/a market . could be as simple as better transmission cooling. ie transmission cooler
I prefer Sport version black grill and rim, but need touring specs, maybe 50th Edition is my only choice.
That's good to know, we will look out for the 50th edition and do a walk through on it if it's available.
360° cameras? Not in Canada, front and rear is my understanding. 😢
Technically the car has a 270° view camera. I only realised after making the video that it doesn't have a driver's side camera. This information is correct on the Australian spec car I had on the day.
Unlike the U.S., Most of the world rates gas used per distance (liters per 100km) rather than distance per gas unit (miles per gallon). Your way is interesting.
Please include fuel capacity, Thanks in advance …

“Safer drive”? So eliminates unsafe drivers that have no business being behind the steering wheel, but keeps them on the road.
Driving should not be dumbed down , it is a privilege not a right.
Your review has been made redundant because there isn’t any driving in real world, go to second valley that’s a healthy drive. Look for unsealed roads and really drive the car.
This was the same for your WRX review. I can’t know you really know how to drive and appreciate the cars you review.
Great review, thank you. Please, however, don't use that horrid Americanism 'SUV' with this venerable Outback Turbo. This is a high-riding wagon and a perfectly tuned one in all respect. To lumber it with that catch-all dumb terminology of 'SUV' and lump it in with so-called lumbering and asthmatic 'SUVs' of lower quality, boxy dimensions, lower capability and desire-ability is wrong.
Nothing on fuel economy.
The combined l/100km is published at 7.3 in Australia
I’m in the U.S. but (interpolating) my gas usage is 32% worse than the stated figures (I use that much more gas). I’ve been doing only City driving.
I suppose you have some government agency in AU like our EPA which publishes gas figures on the new car sticker.
It's pretty bad, but to be expected from anything with symmetrical all wheel drive. Like 11-12 liters per 100km
@@Car-Focus its rated at 9L/100km here in Australia. Not 7.3 lol and when tested most reviewers get closer to 12L/100km combined.
As a Canadian (summer/winter), I averaged 8.9 L/100km in the last 11 months, over 20,000 km. 2/3 highway, 1/3 city. Occasionally carrying 2 kayaks and 2 bikes. Filling up with standard 87 gasoline.
