They are better than we deserve. They seem to have the ability to release songs that the world really needs to hear. Some songs that I think fall in that category are That’s Christmas to Me, Sing, Imagine, Amazing Grace, Mad World, Thank You, The Prayer, and now Prayers for This World. We need to keep making Pentaholics so people can hear the beautiful messages that they regularly put out.
However unlikely it seems, I swear I think they’re becoming better singers. Scott, as always, anchors it with passion, Mitch skims along the top with grace, Kirstie brings the fierce emotion back into play, and Matt’s voice just exudes warmth and sincerity. And I love when reactors single out Kevin for his incredible talent, so thanks for that. This was written by the great Diane Warren, originally recorded by Cher, but, as I understand it, never released. Loved the reaction, peace from Ohio …
Thanks so much for thr kind words and everyone should be talking about Kevin. Wow! The beatboxing is killer and the dude plays a mean cello. Incredible. I guess we are neighbors since I live in Pa. My kids went to YSU. Great school.
It's hard to say if this is a cover or original because the Cher version was never released(was used for a documentary) but they worked with Dianne Warren to change things in their version, so I think technically it's an original!
This is such a Perfect song and video. Honestly The talent in this group of people is off the chain. They dropped a new one with Megan Trainer that is fun with a 70s vibe. Called kid at Christmas. It’s so so fun
There's a behind the scenes video for this song that's entertaining - especially at the end where the flowing white fabric gets out of control. Worth a 5 minute watch!
You were right, there are string instruments backing in this. On stage when they did this ( Hollywood Bowl 2022...Miles Reuben's channel has many videos from that concert) with about 6 cellos as backing. Thanks for the reaction!
@@bobcieslinski The Hollywood Bowl concert had only cellos but this studio recording has a string section with several violins, some violas and cellos and a bass.
This is one of the very best they have ever done. Their voices are so powerful and mature. And the video is stunning. Their live performance of this song at the Hollywood Bowl and the video of the live stream performance by Miles Reuben is excellent.
They're voices are definitely maturing along with them, they sound amazing. The message with this song, the sound, the video, the way the images reverse about halfway thru, perhaps to represent the reversal of damage to the World/Earth....the whole package is incredible. Grown up PTX is a great thing! There are many great songs on this new album, but the message in this one, just hits deep. Enjoyed your reaction, look forward to you hearing some of the other songs on this Album. 😊
Their maturity is definitely showing, in their passion and their voices! I saw them live two weeks ago for their Christmas spectacular concert! It was amazing & it’s clear they are such good friends with phenomenal voices!
It does show that they are friends. You can see that in their eyes when they perform and talk at the end of their videos. That makes a difference with how a group stays together or grows and natures as a group.
PTX's mature is showing! The are no longer the "kids" from Sign Off. They are married, engaged, and parents and they are bringing that new emotion into this song.
This is my now favorite song by this magnificent group. This is just impossibly good. Those backing vocals and rhythm is just out of this world...still thinking 👽👽👽👽👽's
One thing about PTX they put their emotional reactions on display. They outdid themselves on this one - it's like they put their whole hearts and souls into everything they do. They really hit the nail on the head with this song - everyone should take a moment to reflect on everything going on in the world today because the message here is very clear. Their Christmas album from last year (EVERGREEN) is up for a grammy this year and I'm so glad for them. Thank you for your insightful comments. Check out their cover of the Prayer on their EVERGREEN Christmas album.
This was Amazing. This song was sung by Cher a few years ago for a documentary but it was never released as a single. The songwriter decided it needed to be released and PTX was given the song and told to release it as their own.
They have instruments in this song and some others on this album. For so long they’ve been so good that it sounds like instruments and it wasn’t, that it’s a little strange that it is instruments. This is phenomenal and I wouldn’t change anything about it. Invincible is my favorite song on the album though.
Love the song and loved your commentary. One additional point...I think this song sounds very much like and could succeed as a pop hit. If only the radio stations would give it a chance.
I think all (or nearly all, possibly) of the tracks on the new Holidays Around the World album have instrumental backup, since most of the songs also have collaborations with artists from (wait for it...) around the world. It's definitely a departure for PTX, but it doesn't bother me at all - I just listen to the magic of their voices. I would second the recommendation for Kid On Christmas with Meghan Trainor - it's an instant classic, and totally a bop!
Recommendations - PTX "Amazing Grace" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" ... also, I really enjoy your reviews! It amazes me that on first hearing you are able to hone in on each voice and effect they are doing - always look forward to your next PTX review!
I would love to see PTX do a version of the this video that promotes Children's victims of war support. The original was all about the children of Syria, but would think PTX is even more. and this makes me want a lullaby album done by PTX so much.
If you want another Kevin and his cello song try "shallow". This was hands down a Scott song as he took everyone to church. But did you catch the strategic use of their ace'', mitch? Every member is amazing but one of mitch amazing talent with that amazing voice is has the power to draw out the emotion in the audience and with his perfect pronunciation they used the same tactic as they did clear back to hallelujah. Everyone drops away to leave mitch in an almost reverent way anf here they wanted their message understood. So in case anyone couldn't understand Scott's words mitch brought it home.
Have you ever listened to Voctave? Give them a try on the song "Mary did you know" featuring the writer of the song Mark Lowery!!! You will not be disappointed, I promise!!!
unfortunately avi leaving hs resulted in a narrowing down of their world audience... if yre prayin fr th world u shd listen to world music +keep yr archetype

I’ll have to check that out B Fly thanks!
Kevin’s Afro wig is worth it alone and the song is a bop
There's a behind the scenes video for this song that's entertaining - especially at the end where the flowing white fabric gets out of control. Worth a 5 minute watch!
Thanks!
One of the best with Kevin and his cello is Say Something
Pentatonix bringing love & light to this complicated world ❤️
They used a cello orchestra. They played this live at the Hollywood Bowl. You will be blown away!! I hope you react to it!

Nice thanks for confirming that for me. Wow 6 Cellos that’s a lot.

Cello throughout this track. PTX + Cello = Liquid Gold!!

How how how how do they seriously just keep getting better ? They are the most in my opinion talented group out there😊

Lol you might be right. No one from this planet should be that good.
Kevin deserves this recognition!
Kevin’s beatboxing is really amazing
It sure he. He is on another level.
@@bobcieslinski haha, a human version of Larnell Lewis perhaps!?

I’ve done that one check it out on my channel Mary.
I enjoyed your reaction to this beautiful Pentatonix video. Thank you.
Love this group, saw them live once. Thanks for reviewing this
I’m hoping to see them some day.

Good choice they killed it. This was fantastic.

It was pretty awesome and different for sure Melissa. Loved it!!!

Thanks David ! You are right.
BTW, your green eyes are popping, great color shirt!
Thanks Sara!

Thanks Darlene! I did that Can you Feel song awhile ago but it got blocked. Recently it was unblocked so that will be out soon.

Sounds like those ideas would be nice.

Aurora - Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) Live at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, please please!!
There are strings added to this number.
Whilst I like Pentatonix I prefer VoicePlay, just a matter of the characters!
Your reaction was good and you didn’t miss anything!
Recommend their new video, Kid On Christmas featuring Meghan Trainor.
th rest of th world is in terribl turmoil, no anthem is goin to help unless it has depth of emotion

They just received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, hardly a narrowing of their audience and why are you mumbling at the end?
