Sith Troopers look really cool, but they make no sense and were clearly intended to be a part of the First Order, rather than the Sith Eternal. We'll cover that and more on today's Star Wars video!

Hello Eck.
Hello there
Hey EckhartsLadder, do you like the Prequels, Sequels, or Original Trilogy?
This mod does look really fun.
We probably would have seen them in Episode 8 if Disney hadn't replaced JJ since he had a whole plot revolving around Snoke rather than Palpatine.
Sith Troopers: *Stormtroopers, just strawberry flavoured.*
They are actually elite commandos to let you know. It's mentioned in the promo material.
Cherry, pink is Strawberry.
Hansira Mahadhura wonderful, maybe next time they can mention important information in the movie? That’d be nice.
I thought they were cherry flavoured, I guess not lol.
Luke Higgins they are 144p Imperial Guards
“looks cool but makes no sense” is a pretty good way to describe the sequel trilogy
To a certain extent it’s always been like that with Star Wars, however I do find some extra issues with some of the sequel design choices.
Except that none of it looks even remotely "cool". Every design choice Disney has made looks absolutely stupid. And I am including Rogue One and Mandalorian in that - it's all idiotic, just like everything with the Disney logo on it.
Kamen Rider Gumo Bruh the Death Star destroying a world in Rogue One looked stunning. The whistling birds form the Mandalorian was awesome. You said “it’s all idiotic, just like everything with the Disney logo on it”, you dare to insult the final season of Clone Wars? I know it had some shit episodes *cough the sisters arc cough*, but it was good and ended the Clone Wars quite well. Might as well spit on Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast while you’re at it.
The ST looks trash though
@@KamenRiderGumo I agree about the ST but Rogue One and the Mandalorian are cool. Same with Fallen Order
If into the Disney recordings you go,
only nonsense will you find.
Rey Skywalker be like
"looks cool but makes no sense" is the entire DT
@@EricVornoff
Isnt that also 1/3 of the original and prequel trilogies?
Ratbat 1986 no, they never fail to make sense, the prequels are flawed yes, my main gripe is some of the voice lines given to the actors and the first and second one being kind of boring, but they all make sense and add to the story.
lmao
They do look cool. But that's it.
Ironically, the story of a secret Sith cult at the far end of the galaxy might have made for an interesting sequel trilogy. How would the heroes deal with Sith who didn't follow the Rule of Two? Would there be enough Jedi to stop them?
But no, instead we got this... shit.
The trilogy should be called the wasted potential saga because that’s what is is
Seriously though this was the first time since the 80s that Star Wars movies had a chance to do something different and they blew it by staying to close to the original formula wile ruining everything that made the originals great
Ironic
There was a story near the end of legends that had a secret planet of Sith. They had been stranded and forgotten there for generations, even before the OT.
They could save their prequels but not the sequels
Phasma taught us that if a trooper looks cool, they will be useless and forgettable.
Who?
Right
Commander Pyer too he only lasted in the 2 seasons of Resistance, but whats weird i noticed is in the First Order it seemed like Commander Pyer answered to Captain Phasma, but in the Empire and the Republic Commander Was Above Captian, now Captain is above Commander in the First Order which is one thing i noticed, but honestly i like Pyers All Gold Armor as opposed to Phasmas All Silver, and Another Thing Wouldnt Gold Rank Higher Then Silver So Again Commander Having Gold Armor and Captain Having Silver, should mean Pyer was actually higher then PHasma and the Captain below Commander Role Would Make More Sense Too
Phasma just chooses to be referred to as captain she is actually a higher rank it says this in the phasma novel.
They should have done more with her armor such as making her nearly invincible to blaster fire where the bolts do not even stagger her and reflect off of the armor.
"Why do I wear the red armour? It's so the good guys can't see me bleed."
_Points to Jedi Knight_
"See, he gets it. He's wearing the brown robes."
Your comment is not getting the praise that it deserves.
@@ahsoka5216 it's a rip off of Deadpool quote

@@ahsoka5216 lol, I swore I had seen you before, so I go into my inbox to see a conversation we had about commander fox a couple days ago, what a coincidence 😂
@@ArariaKAgelessTraveller It's actually a joke about a British officer explaining to French officers why the British wear red coats, so that their men won't see them bleed and panic. Shortly afterwards the French officers began wearing brown pants.
It is just a variant so JJ secured his royalties.
Wait do different people actually get royalties off that stuff? I had no idea but that makes sense
He just changed the millennium falcon’s antena to a flat one and called it rey’s falcon just to earn more money
@@cameronwebb7073 If I understood right, JJ also gets a cut from that red arm C3PO - thus answering your question on why C3PO had a red arm.
ENDERCIBORG263 He isn’t making the Star Trek mistake again that’s for sure.
No, it’s for merchandising.
In my personal opinion these Sith Troopers feels like a reskin of the First Order trooper
Which the First Order trooper is a reskin of the Storm Trooper. Even the Clone Trooper, which is naturally derivative of the Storm Troopers feels like it's own thing.
It'd be more better if the Sith trooper helmets were shaped like the facial features of the Sith race.
A Moist Eggroll Because you think the people who made this movie know the source of the Sith Order? Or what a Sith (species) is?
@@AMoistEggroll in order to do that they would have to do more than known the bare minimum about star wars
@@erwannlejeune3773 Well of course they're not gonna be competent when it comes to source material lol I'm just saying it'd be better that way.
I love the sith trooper voice lines in Battlefront 2.
“Lock and terminate!”
“Clear for grenade!”
They sound like really pissed off marines.
Marine here. If you think about it, you're either in that combat mindset or you're dead.
Yeah
Wish they had made a sith eternal guard skin for them, along with making a sith eternal skin for the jet trooper
@stockart whiteman Exactly
A rebel loving the voices of the Sith Trooper? Interesting...
Come to think of it, I would love to see a Star Wars movie focusing on a rebel becoming sympathetic to the Empire/First Order. He then ends up betraying the Rebel Alliance/Resistance.
If they actually made us fear them, like seeing them slaughter some Resistance troopers in combat. Then they would have stuck out.
From a combat standpoint red armor is a terrible idea and the star wars equivalent to the french ww1 uniforms
@@reedcoffman3210 So is white to be fair. But let's be honest these guys should be rolling over most they come across, like what we seen the death troopers do.
@@pauledwards9493 that's the problem, we are never given a reason to fear the villains on the new trilogy it's just them saying they're evil.
I guess so
Oh trust me if you play battlefront 2, you’ll learn to fear them. They’ll mow down all your infantry like it’s nothing
"Looks cool but makes no sense" Sums up the Disney story line nicely.
Looking at you holdo
chespokotota what was wrong with those again?
I have a tattoo of your picture
Heresy!
@chespokotota They are not turbines. The X-Wing rely on Fusial thrust engines. The things at the front are air intakes.
The Sith Troopers = Bram Stoker’s Dracula red armor.
totaly had the same idea right that instant.
Fuck, same here
“Death troopers”, as opposed to “wound troopers”? Also I like how their helmets look like BMX racing helmets
They’re kind of pointless just created to sell toys
and fortnite skins
So like pretty much everything in Star Wars?
Like those "penguin trooper" executioners in TLJ.
Star Wars toys sales have dropped... alot
Like the prequel droids?
They sacrifice story and lore for products to consume and cool looks to ignore any flaws
Also red armor is terrible at least with white you have some level of camouflage
Reed C. I like that you said red armour is terrible while your profile pic is the imperial guard
@@Anterlyful But the Imperial Guard from my understanding didn't have any frontline jobs. These sith troops were "troopers" frontline soldiers.
They are trying hard to make them look badass but failed miserably
@@reedcoffman3210 Nah Red Armor works for Magma troopers because they operate on volcanic planets. Red armor also worked for the Shock Troopers because they were not worried about camouflage since they were basically Military Police.
Honestly why didn’t they go with their design with the first order? It would’ve looked more intimidating than the smiling stormtrooper helmets.
:)
i liked it. it's like an UwU

@@ilikepigeons6101 now I hate it even more
@@bizz949 xD
I really hate how the sith troopers had basically one second of screen time and somehow got defeated with ease by space jockeys.
Well, they probably have even less training than space jockeys. They definitely have less experience.
If you're referring to Company 77, I kinda disagree, but everyone else, yeah they should've been dead after facing the Sith troopers.
And that they had heavy advertising
They weren't ready to deal with those space horses. It tossed them into a loop.
Plot armor sucks
palpatine 2.0 : LeTs MaKe ThEm Red.
Sith cultist: ay lets make the star destroyer underground hear me out here and with massive guns on the underside making it unable to balance on the floor
@@methadone1212 And they all have death star lasers! FUK YEAH the 2 yr olds will love it!
palpatine liked red since clone wars lol, coruscant guards, red guards, stuff like that
What’s the point of the armor if they still get 1 shotted
The troopers don’t have plot armor.
Minh-Duy Bui I think it’s more like motocross armor, it’s not to protect you from the crash, it’s to stop things like rocks from fucking you up, I think it’s more for in case shits breaking apart, small pieces of debris don’t fuck you up, also for intimidation
Didn't a Sith Trooper tank a blaster shot during the final battle?
The stormtroopers armor in Star Wars is made to spread out the shock off a blaster bolt, this makes it so that the wearer of the armor is knocked out instead of killed, so most of the stormtroopers that you see being shot are knocked out rather than killed
It's much easier to make toys that don't show skin. But it also helps avoid certain topics, since usually people see the armour as an entity and they don't think about the person wearing that armour. They could be robots for all they care. Probably why we had a literal droid army.
My conclusion on Disney's Star Wars is that everything looks really great in terms of effects and designs, but sometimes things don't line up with or break pre-established lore or lack any explanation for existing in general. My best example is the Holdo Maneuver. In the movie, it is one of the most visually stunning scenes in Star Wars, but it breaks too much lore for a lot of people to take it seriously otherwise.
In defence of Disney, it doesn't contradict anything we've been shown in the movies. In books and TV shows it may have been explored, but none of the other films have ever said that you cant just fly super duper fast into the enemy.
@@alexturlais8558 Even so there Is no excuse for shitty writing it pokes holes in the previous movies. If you could just hyper space jump into your enemy and destroy anything regardless of size and amount of armor then that'd make space combat pointless as people would just use auto pilot and/or droids to hyper space into there problems. Example battle of coruscant republic would just fling ships at CIS capital ships and surround grievous ship taking it over, battle of hoth rather than rely on a giant ion canon on the planet that has to charge between shots just send some ships up and hyper space jump into the Empire fleet blocking you would literally take a few mins and auto pilot & expendable droids are a thing star wars including the movies if that's what your basing your defence of Disney butchering the canon, and in the entire last battle of the The Last Jedi thered be no need for a giant 5 min battle in atmosphere you could just launch ships at the 1st Order/New Empire ships. Then if you bring in the tv shows, games, comics, etc. Space combat overall would just be pointless. The holdo maneuver isnt some one of kind cant be done again or unlikely to happen again like say the kessel run but literally anyone with a brain, common sense, and some sense of military strategy would use hyper space jumping into your enemy as a tactic. I'm not an angry fan boy I let star wars go years ago but I hate when shitty writing happens and people defending shitty writing. You can like Disney and there work. I know I do (no sarcasm) but dont defend bad writing.
@@Nekavandre I can think of any easy explanation of why people wouldn't do it more often. Its risky and dangerous. And IIRC it only barely worked (stalled them for what, 10 minutes?).
Its one of those things that not one soul would question if it were in the original trilogy.
Not *Everything* looks great design wise. The Death Pizza from TLJ looked awful for example.
Alex Turlais Think about this, if people could always lightspeed into ships to split them in half why hasn’t any movie or show done the same ? If it was a possible thing every star wars character to ever drive a ship would’ve done it, battles would be much quicker plus it doesnt make sense going into lightspeed is like going into a whole other dimension through a worm hole and going out in another place, its not literally going at light speed
Did you know that a Sith trooper legion was named after me? That’s why I became canon.
That was one of the only things good to come out of that movie.

Agreed the first order was the threat for two movies them suddenly in the final one they're practically gone and replaced with the sith eternal
Should have never had the first order tbh
I would’ve preferred ONLY the Sith Eternal, because the story of a New Sith Empire spreading its way through the outer rim led by a Sith Cult sounds way cooler than The Empire 2.0 but more tech and smaller

@@binturongjustice Bruh, do you know how skilled first order stormtrooper are? They have been training for more than 20 years.
Shoretroopers are still my favourite design- I just love the more “ranger”, rugged and practical vibe they went with
I kinda have an issue since the Empire normally doesn't do camouflage.
@@emberfist8347 Which is really, really idiotic.
@@shanehudson3995 I kinda get it. The idea is the Empire is so powerful they don't feel the need to use camouflage. They just deploy a force that is super large as if to tell their foes to "bring it.". Another way to look at it is "Yeah you know we are coming but it will not matter".
I prefer the Death Troopers love the helmet design and the extra equipment they carry. Also the Magma Troopers get an honorable mention.
@@emberfist8347 Storm Commandos and Camo Scouts exist. Remember Shore troopers are defending a very important Imperial vault, so much like the Commandos they use camo.
I agree with Eck about the Designs. The artists involved into Disney Star Wars are incredibly talented (as long as you don't speak about comics). They gave us so many amazing starships and characters.
The comic art is fine, I wish it was more stylized like other comic books, but I get what they’re going for. Though the writing is top tier in my opinion
Cade L.S I think he means that a lot of comic artists have been taking fan art and blatantly inserting it as their own without credit or acknowledgement. Otherwise yes, I enjoy the writing, too.
Hunter Edgerton yeah I heard about that, but it didn’t really bother me that much.
@@joesphrbiden8046 It would bother you if you were a fan artist.

But not most of the new trilogy. The pizza dreadnought, the Imp 2 copies (BUT BIGGER), the 90% brown aliens, the WW2 bombers, and so much more.
The sith eternal should have been their own faction not align with the first order and they just come to take over the galaxy from the new republic and first order similar to the eternal empire from SWTOR

What would make the Sith Fleet cool is the way they train, fight, tactics and psychology.
Also if they took FO trooper painted their armor saying to them
"You are no long FO troopers you now serve the Sith, your mission death to the Jedi and Light side of the Force, you serve the master of the darkness, Darth Sidious".
Also showing the entire reemergence of the Empire, like all red Imperial units, Vader's shadow guard, and the Sith Fleet officers and higher ups taking a blood oath of loyalty to the dark side.
Honestly, they should have had a civil war or play up more the split between the militaristic no nonsense Military of the FO and the cult like Sith and Knights of Ren.

Battlefront 2 actually made them a lot more effective then they initially were in the movie itself, in general Battlefront 2 did a great job making The Sequel era unique from others.
Pretty sure somewhere in the novelization it states that the Sith troopers were blank slates programmed from birth, not independent thinkers like Clones and they lacked the basic humanity seen in most stormtroopers. Essentially they were the perfect soldiers for Palpatine to command.

I just asumed that both first order and sith troops looked so similar because if palpatine created snoke then he must have been in controll of the first order the entire time from the shadows. Even if they are not the same faction the are in a sense like sibilings and palpatine is the shared father
I always love me some good Star Wars concept art
"Looks cool but makes no sense" just like how Starfighters i.e my favorite one the X Wings, Y Wings, A Wings, B Wings etc in Star Wars are constantly being upgraded but still can only take 1-3 hits before they get blown up.....
Shields can only do so much and A-Wings are made to be fast above all else. Plus Y-Wings were clone wars era designs so they naturally aren't as good as modern fighters.
X-Wings, B-Wings and Y-Wings are shown being quite strong and durable. As for A-Wings they're pretty much 80% engines and 20% everything else, so of course they're less durable.
A wings are supposed to some of the fastest Star fighters in the galaxy, so not getting hit is more a priority for them than being able to take hits
What do you expect? The mouse needs to sell toys.
The green eyes and dark grey of the Death Trooper reminds me of Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell, which probably was a design cue that links to the spy theme you mentioned.

SWTOR Sith Empire Soldiers: "Who?"
I just like how JJ Abrams forgets about the regular stormtroopers when the final battle starts
Blood Ravens: Those are cool looking guardsmen you have there, too bad if anyone tried to...(preps up bolters)
The Sith Troopers seemed like a gratuitous use of RED & now that I’ve seen this, it’s clear JJ had no idea WHY they were red, he just wanted red. IMHO, red Imperial uniforms in Star Wars always represented the Imperial Guards for Palpatine & Vader. It was always used sparingly, with only a few individuals in the entire OT & PT wearing a completely red uniforms. It’s still unclear to me what the hell a Sith Trooper even is? How are they different than Stormtroopers? Are the troopers different, or is it just their armor? Are they force users? They looked like everyday cannon fodder during the last battle of TROS. So many questions that will never be answered.
JJ has no idea why anything. He just wants it.
I’m pretty sure the sith troopers were especially picked troops who had some power with the force, but weren’t completely skilled enough to become a sith.
When generations of inbreeding creates an entire army
I absolutely love the death trooper concept art because it reminds me of the Steiner-Style of Night Vision Goggles you'd see on some extreme special ops.

@@kvproductions2581 I'm not defending it, it sucks compared to the OG BF2, but it's true that Pandemic's has some problems. It lacks troops, the heroes are glass cannons, there's barely any maps, etc. I hope that remaster project HarrisonFog's making adds much more maps and eventually troops.
@@tragedyplustime8271 i didnt say you were defending it, but lots of people do like to defend it and dont realize tis a shitty bare minimun effort game and could be much better if they even TRIED
also ik pandemic's had its issues, specially with how it has aged, but luckily it has mods to fix them, which is awesome, sadly new BF2 will never have mods because EA is a piece of shit and would never give players that kind of freedom (no the shitty reskins that exist for battlefront II EA don't count as mods)
