  • Ephraim, was the second born son of Joseph. His name means “I am fruitful”. Manessah, was the firstborn son of Joseph. His name means “made to forget”, read Genesis 41:50-52. The blessing of Joseph, went down to his two sons who were recognized as two of the tribes of Israel. Jacob, prophesied that Ephraim, would be greater than his brother Manasseh, read Genesis 48:13-20. When you see the name “Joseph”, in the scriptures after his death, it is making reference to his two sons; Ephraim first then Manasseh. These two tribes led the migration of “The Tribes of Israel” to the Americas, in approximately 536 B.C. during the Persian captivity. During the Middle Ages, the native Indians (Tainos) of Puerto Rico, called themselves Boriqua, a Hebrew word for Brave. They called their island Borinquen, a Hebrew word for “Land of the Brave Lords”.

    Genesis 41:50-52 (KJV)
50 And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.
51 And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.
52 And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.
    Genesis 48:13-20 (KJV)
13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him.
14 And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.
15 And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,
16 The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.
17 And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head.
18 And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.
19 And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.
20 And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.
    Genesis 49:1 (KJV)
49 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
    Genesis 49:22 (KJV)
22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:

100%er here... It's a biblical name and Puerto Rico was a Spanish (Catholic) colony. My uncle's name is Efrain doesn't make him Israeli. As DNA and archaeological discoveries have shown, Boriken natives followed a migration pattern from Central/South America. I suggest you don't blind-heartedly believe everything you see on UA-cam hermano.

      We're definitely something brudda man...
I have a question for you tho...
And before I ask, I just wanna say I come with the utmost respect and with a humble heart.
Would it be so farfetched to say that our people's cultural heritage is rooted within a tragically beautiful struggle of unity and chaos?
That the purity of our native traditions and beliefs, from our Taino blood, were lost within the birth pains of our rise to freedom and independence?
That, who we are as a people now, whether you identify as Taino, Puerto Rican, or afro Latino; who we are today is nothing more than the evolution of our tribe. The unification of our African, Taino and European ancestry...
I think it's unbeneficial for us as Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Cubans, etc. To cling to a strict identity of the native people who were killed and forced to assimilate because of the slavery and oppression handed down by the imperialistic ways of our ancestors...
Because thru over 300 years of forced slavery, the Taino people were arm in arm with our African ancestors.
It is safe to assume, that a bonding and infusion of cultural traditions, beliefs, faith and ultimately; a joining of blood and mind was brought to fruition. Manifesting as the beautifully woven fabric, of the ways of life that we walk in today thru our pride and heritage; the clothing of our hearts.
I think we should focus not on the soul of such a wonderfully fleeting identity, whose ways elude us seductively into a pasture vast, expanding into a grand but unattainable wonder of who we are or could be...
Rather, I believe we should put our hearts and minds upon the calling of the soul of who our people are now, in the present of today that we may create for the future, a pride of unparalleled understanding, rooted in the solidarity of a great becoming.
We cannot even agree upon the conformity of our Native tongue, spoken by our indigenous forefathers, much less exact for certain, the spiritual traditions of their days.
      Far more worthy, is a mutual understanding and love for a peace that is our unity as Puerto Ricans. As Afro Latinos, as Tainos;
      AS BORICUAS!! ❤️❤️❤️
We should embrace our people and our diversity. But we should also fly the banner of one people. One love. Of freedom and equality, so that we can transcend prejudice and ignorance...
So that we may enjoy the fruits of Justice. And justice lays within the threshold of our unified soul... And that is in our inherited struggle. The birth rite of our identity as the sons and daughters of our tragically beautiful, story of pain and perseverance. ❤️

The Taíno women cooked, tended to the needs of the family, their farms and harvested crops. According to Ivonne Figueroa, editor of the "El Boricua: cultural magazine", women who were mothers carried their babies on their backs on a padded board that was secured to the baby's forehead. Women did not dedicate themselves solely to cooking and the art of motherhood; many were also talented artists and made pots, grills, and griddles from river clay by rolling the clay into rope and then layering it to form or shape. Taíno women also carved drawings (petroglyphs) into stone or wood. The Taína's were also WARRIORS and could join the men in battle against the Caribs.
Even though the men were allowed to have more than one wife, most of them didn't. The cacique (tribal chief) was the only person who could afford to sustain multiple wives. It was a great honor for a woman to be married to a cacique. Not only did she enjoy a materially superior lifestyle, but her children were held in high esteem. According to an observation made by doctor Diego Alvarez Chanca, who accompanied Columbus on his second voyage:
"The Taina women made blankets, hammocks, petticoats (Naguas) of cloth and lace. She also weaved baskets. Single women walked around naked while married women wore a Nagua (na·guas), as petticoats were called, to cover their genitals."
The Naguas were a long cotton skirt that the woman made. The native women and girls wore the Naguas without a top. They were representative of each woman's status, the longer the skirt, the higher the woman's status. The villages of the Taínos were known as "Yucayeque" and were ruled by a cacique. When a cacique died, the next in line to become a chief was the oldest son of the sister of the deceased cacique. Some Taíno women became notable caciques (TRIBAL CHIEFS). According to Puerto Rican folklore such was the case of Yuisa (Luisa), a cacica in the region near Loíza, which was later named after her.
In 1514 Spain legalized marriage between the European men & Taíno women, which contributed to many of the Spanish Conquistadores, who were soldiers (that had to provide their own food & shelter) arrived on the island without women, married a native Taína woman, resulting in “mestizo” children. Under Spain’s Caste System, if a Mestiza married a European, the child was considered/returned back to being European.

      Far more worthy, is a mutual understanding and love for a peace that is our unity as Puerto Ricans. As Afro Latinos, as Tainos;

@smart thinker not at all true. Taino’s originally came from the western culprit of Cuba through the excavation of emigration from the South America hardships. As Spaniard conquerors set out to discover the great northern part of South American the Taino’s then mixed themselves up and dow the Caribbean. When Spain made their embarks towards the farthest southern part of the group of islands was when they conquered Taino men and married Taina’s to therefore introduce what we call a “Mestizo”. Great Britain (Europe) said this was a disgrace to the culture of greater Antilles so they aided and supplied run away Taino’s with African tribe and heritage. They insisted on mixture to rebel against Spaniard colonialism and fled to the southern parts of the Caribbean where it was sought to allow for highly ranked African officials help govern the remaining Taino blood line and mining the British ways. This is way Dominica (not DR/Haiti) & The Virgin Islands have licked up putting “Saint’s” in the names of their provinces. Hence with all said and done I am happy to call you my brother 🙏🏼💯

The darker colored skinned beings from the south of the continent whilst the war between the Muslims and enslaved Jews were because of color and of course, slavery. If what you were saying was true, then what’d you have to say about the indigenous Indians that were in Native America, or the different tribes that were Aztec, Maya & Taino’s. Identity history and heritage exists without having to resort to the Israelite conspiracy theory. Many many nations have been enslaved en mass oppressed murdered and abused. Take inspiration from the freedom narrative of the Israelites but you don’t need to resort to conspiracy theories.

@@johnnypacheco3491 Obviously you don't know your history, and if you do please tell me how they got to the island of Puerto Rico? How did the Hebrew stone get on the island, if everyone came from the East then they had to travel to this side of the world, you have to connect the dots with bible and history and not just assume that Taino's are not Hebrews. I did my research and traced all who came from the East to the West side of this world. And if you feel like you are not Chosen by TMH God then you are not from the Tribe of Ephraim, we are who our fathers are, was your father a Spaniard? Because Boricua means brave lords, Boricua is a Hebrew word. Hope this helps you.

Our people came from the East where everything started and the people were black skin and the question here is how our people get over here which you could read it in the Apocrypha 2 Esdras 13:40-48 even in the movie Conquest of Paradise Columbus used the Apocrypha to find the islands and the rest of this side of the world. You have to connect the dots using the bible and the history books to understand this or you will never get it and yes the Spaniards forced their religion on our people, we never had religion we had the laws given to Moses by The Most High God and since we broke those commandments then since we are his chosen he cursed us up to this very day until we repent. Up to you to believe or refuse his laws. Read and do the research and pray TMH god will guide you for any questions you have as I did and yes I am from the tribe of Ephraim and not Port of Riches which means Puerto Rico and Boricua is a Hebrew word meaning Brave Lords.

Migration.the hebrews of biblical days were a nomadic people.they lived from one place to another.they were tent dwellers.there is no shame in being a taino.but that is not what they were .they were one tribe that of hebrews from the ephahim..they migrated from Israel toamericas after going further up then down.our ancestors were very first native Americans hundreds of yrs before the indians.400 I think n then they made it to Mexico. Then to the place where the Mayan were then to central America n across to s. America to the south America n up to Bogota Columbia before canoing to our BORINQUEN.NOT PUERTO RICO.THAT JUST WHAT COLUMBUS THE INVADER CALLED IT...RICH PORT CAUSE OF ALL THE RICHES THERE.AS FOR TAINOS THAT WAS A DESCRIPTION OF OUR WAYS STRONG FRIENDLY GOOD GENEROUS PEOPLE.WHEN COLUMBUS STOLE SLAVES THEY HAS SOME TAINOS TOO N TOOK THEM TO SPAIN .HE HAD ONE ON BOARD WITH HIM N WHEN HE SAW THE NATIVES ,EECOGNIZED THEM AS HIS PEOPLE N YELLED TO HIM THEY R TAINO. NOT TAINOS.COLUMBUS BEING STUPI AS HE WAS THOUGHT THAT THE PEOPLES TRIBAL NAME..THEY STARTED CALLING THEMSELVES TAINOS.THED BEEN MIGRATING SO LONG THOUSANDS OF YRS THEYED FORGOTTEN THEIR CREATOR ..YAOHU UL HIM BUT THEY MADE IT UP AGAIN BUT NOT QUITE THE SAME..AS THEYVE DONE FROM THE BEGINNING ,THEY TURNED THEIR BKS ON YAOHU.SO THEY WERE PUNISHED..BUT OUR LORD PROMISED HE WOULD FORGIVE THEM CAUSE WE AS R SO MANY ISREALITES HIS CHILDREN N HIS CHOSEN ONES.HE WILL BRING US HOME WHEN THE END COMES..I H ave my DNA PAPERS N MY TRUE BIBLE N SOON MY TORAH. N GO TO THE MUSEUM IN OUR ISLAND N FIND THE TRUTH AS IVE SAID IT IN THE BK N LETTERS N UA-cam N KN ITS ALL TRU.ONCE WE LEFT YRS LTR N.AMER.THEN NATIVE AMER INDIANS CAME N SETTLED THERE.THERES SO MUCH TO LEARN.MY BORIQUEÑOS.GO LEARN READ N SEARCH FOR UR ANCESTORS 'S ANCESTORS.N EXCEPT WHO U REALLY R.IAM HEBREW BORINQUEÑA N TRULY PROUD.BY THE WAY ,EPHRAHIM WAS THE GRTGRDSON OF JOSEPH WHO BECAME THE STEP FATHER OF OUR MASSIAH YAOHUSHUA.
      Far more worthy, is a mutual understanding and love for a peace that is our unity as Puerto Ricans. As Afro Latinos, as Tainos;
