Newlands cricket ground is my favourite. Lots of variation in the stands, old classic looking architecture and the views of the brewery. Shame about the Newlands rugby ground that one is great. South Africa's famous upset of Romania is right up there with Canada's win over Denmark in ice hockey.
I miss Newlands Rugby Stadium, the original Green Pont Stadium (was home of Hellenic soccer team) and the home of Cape Town City soccer team, Hartleyvale Stadium in Observatory (which had one grandstand that was skew).
Love the video. I have the two questions, if they use "soccer" in South Africa, why is the name of the club "Cape Town Spurs Football Club". As well, are South Africans smaller that other people, because how do 10 000 fit in the Phillipi Stadium? Keep up the great work!
