I was at Stonehenge and had weird weather too. So windy it almost blew us off our feet. Then Bucketed down while on the bus from the Visitor Centre to the stones. Brilliant sunshine while walking around and then rain again just as we got back on the bus! Visiting friends and family in the UK, everyone was moaning about the constant rain but luckily we seemed to get quite a few good days. Watching/bingeing your blogs a month later. Thanks. Jane

Every time you mention walking 1,000 miles I think of the song "I would walk 500 miles"! Apparently there is a song called A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton.

Interesting weather, thank goodness the hail was small. Last we had was 2-3 inches and the whole neighborhood got new roofs!
We have also had the strangest weather here in Cumbria today. It was so warm I took my jumper off and had just a long sleeved t.shirt on my top. An hour after got home the hail stones came down. Five minutes later the sun came out again. Happy Birthday week Ali. X
Wasn't the weather weird on Monday. I went up to London with my U3A history group. We were on the train going up to town when the rain and hail just fell from the sky and we couldn't see the fields beside the tracks. We were all thinking it was going to be a wet day out when the sun came out. We were fine until we were on the bus to get back to the station and it hailed again. So we were lucky really not to get soaked at one point.
I was literally just thinking to myself that I must ask how you track your distance - perfect timing! Thoroughly enjoying your vlogs as always - thank you for taking the time to make them.
Hello...not a comment as such (although very much enjoying your April vlogs and crikey that hail!!!) - just happened upon a lovely you tuber who I thought would appeal you - although maybe you've already heard of her...Hippy Highland Living. Molly lives in the Highlands - lots about nature, books, minimalist living, slow living - goodness I feel so relaxed watching her vids. 😊
I used to get gel polish but had to stop because it weakened and thinned my nails terribly. I had to let them grow out and just do regular polish now. Of course, it doesn't last as long but my nails are better.
We are having the strangest weather at the moment too! Hail and sun and wind and storms - all at once! It’s freaky and if you are caught in it, you get absolutely soaked. Not great walking weather tbh! I love bubble and squeak- one of my favourites x
I was caught in a hailstorm years ago when I was in college. I was having to walk a long way to get to the fitness center for a PE class. That stuff hurts! Thank you for going to the trouble of making April vlogs. I enjoy them so much even if you don't think you've filmed anything interesting. That's the best part, just seeing ordinary stuff that isn't so ordinary to many of us!

Ooh, those hailstones, over 10 years ago we had a huge storm with hailstones. It was scary as I was driving in it, I did park under a tree to minimize damage to my car. So many people had their cars written off from the hail damage. The hail was as big as golf balls and bigger. I got home to smashed windows in the house and garage, the garage flooded and I lost a couple of boxes of books, some of which I cannot replace.... It was horrible xx

Happy birthday week! I am glad to see you had your nails done, I was so distracted yesterday trying to count how many blue nails you had left and I missed about half of what you were talking about.We had a really April day too. Started with lovely sunshine and ended with a hailstorm including lightning and thunder. Not fun when you are out on your bike (like I was). Thank you for another great episode of the April vlogs.
We started out with rain, early Monday morning, which quickly turned into snow. We got as much snow yesterday as we did on any given day all winter. I am in Northern British Columbia, Canada, and we can get snow literally any month of the year. Of course, in the summer months it is just a sprinkle that doesn’t cover the ground nor stay more than an hour or two.

I got caught in a hail storm out dog walking they ran off to shelter under trees but in my mid 70s my legs & lungs don’t do running & my word did it hurt even through my cagoule hood ( hot choc) for me & dental stick for them

My son and I have been doing some lovely walking this month as well (footage over on my IG feed/stories), but I have to say...my feet, more than anything else, become weary. Maybe it's my shoes, or maybe just my fitness, but wondering if you ever have sore feet & if so, what you do about them?

Hi Annie! It was a kind of frittata, I cooked up some veg in the pan (whatever I had in the fridge probably - maybe potato, mushroom, onion, courgette, red pepper), then whisked an egg with a little grated cheese, poured it over, mixed about and let cook before sprinkling with a little more cheese and popping it under the grill to melt the cheese. Usually you’d use more egg I think but it’s still tasty 🍳 😋

Happy birthday week Ali. Well done with your walks but I want to ask do you ever feel vulnerable walking alone? You go on some lovely walks but they look isolated. I always walk with my large Rhodesian Ridgeback so don’t feel so vulnerable just wondered? Enjoy your evening x

Have you ever cut your yarn and then discovered a mistake? I will forward you a pic of the hail.stones that pelted my daughter's mother-in-law's car this spring. They were larger than golf balls.
