I found this very useful, thanks. I was inspired to take an additional half step by creating date filters for the table. In case this is helpful to anyone:
1. In the Habit Tracker front matter, create properties for start and end dates you would like referenced in the table range (e.g., start_date and end_date.
2. In the dataview "code," add to the bottom a WHERE statement to reference these properties. For Example:

WHERE date(file.name) >= date(this.start_date) AND date(file.name)

When I add this line: WHERE file.day = date(now) - dur(7days)
it displays nothing at all. When I remove that line, it works. Also the sorting dates ascending or descending doesn't seem to be working. Do you know why?
