The bus system in Cardiff is appalling now ever time I visit they move the bus stops they should never have got rid of the bus station by the train station which was the perfect spot. City planning is to blame.
At 2.00 Is the Dowlais Steel works. This picture must have been around 1970. The guy walking across the street with the milk urn was a Gypsy. Their caravans are out of sight to the left. He is going door to door trying to get water. I was about 7 then. I remember my mother letting some of them in to our house in Portmanmoor Rd to fill up with water.

Definately not the old library.

I used to live in the old fire station in Westcott St opposite the new stadium and now an NCP 🤣
The last image just looks like a school on fire BTW what started the fire
That wasn't where the old library was.

You're right. That's the old Oxford Arcade. Library was out of frame about 100 yards to the right.
@@berlinocelot That was the new library in the 80s, the proper old library was up near Hayes Island
@@Eddiecurrent2000 Cheers, mate! Is that the nice building inbetween Hayes Island Bar and St John's Gardens?
@@berlinocelot yup, that's the one! Far nicer than the 80s one!
4th photo is Pomeroy Street.
