How is the arm curls padding?? Is it pretty thick? I curl some pretty heavy weight and a lot pressure is on your pecs against the padding. Was just curious
@@MexicoTijuana741 just bought it actually. I really like the squat rack and the adjustable bench. The arm curl pad is really nice. 😁 the leg curls and extensions were ok, but I wish I had handles to hold on to on the leg machines. Curling and extensions. I never really use the spot racks. But all and all it was worth it. Definitely a good buy. 👍
I got the same one. Money well spent. Highly suggest anyone just starting out with a home exercise set up. Great for anyone just getting into fitness. A major focus on beginner.
Dude there’s one hack for the bench that you didn’t mention and it’s GOLDEN. Standing rows with the built in curl bar! Stand over the seat, as if you were just about to sit down or do a standing preacher curl. Put your front feet a bit forward, just outside the two front legs of the bench. Overhand or underhand, the movement is perfect. Try it out!
Those safety spotter bars are actually really strong. I put 350 lbs on them when I used to heavy on shrugs. I also put my bodyweight on it and it did not fall over (don't recommend doing that tho). That being said, the spotters are too short, but they are good for rows and shrugs IMO.
I've used this bench/rack for about 2.5 months now as a complete beginner. Its worked quite well for me. I wish it had a complete upright position for the seat back. The safety bars seem fine as long as you ensure they are 100% in place. I found a couple times where I quickly set them in place and they slipped off, they weren't completely seated on the catches.
Excellent review. Thanks for every aspect including the bar size needed. I found it on Kohl’s for $200 plus got -$10 off and $40 Kohl’s cash. Winner 😁😁😁
I think for me as girl for beginner it would be perfect. I just purchased it at Walmart and can’t wait to get it. Like u said it has some flaws but for something at home is perfect.
Nice content man. I'm looking to pick up a bench with leg extension and laying leg curl options. Are there any others you can recommend with higher weight capacity? I am considering the Body Solid FID46 but it looks like it is sold out everywhere. Really appreciate the help! Here's a sub for you too!
Not sure if mine is missing something but my bench flips forward if I put more than 35 lbs on it while doing leg extensions. May have to get some sand bags for the back legs.
I have the Gold's Gym version and they are the same as far as I know. Gold's Gym went out of business I think. I ordered another squat rack, though, as mine is badly damaged on one side after using it outside for 5 years.
This is going to be a dumb question, but I am new to buying this sort of gym equipment. The safety spotters can be lowered so that I can bench press without a human spotter?
I think the weight limit on the leg/arm attachment is 100lbs. Your bench should have a sticker with all of the information listed. I have the same bench and it came with the sticker. I didn't have the rack, but had gotten squat stands separate for $55 dollars.
You got a good deal! But my set doesn't have that sticker so I'll just take your word for it! I'm pretty sure I've definitely gone over a 100 lbs. a few times haha
@@TeamSolution That was the price before Covid-19 hit. $55 for a 550lbs rating. Didn't need them at the time, but they were so inexpensive, I bought them in the middle of a college lecture
I got this in summer 2020. It’s great for the price. The problem is it leaves you hungry for more. You probably will keep the bench but the rack is limiting. Better off with a cage or half rack. Much more things you can do and limitless attachments
Thank you for posting this vid. Mine just arrived!! I too bought the Weider XRS20 from walmart for $140. Took a week to arrive. I'm freaking out!! There are so many parts to assemble. How long did it take you to assemble? Any advice on assembling certain parts? Would appreciate it. Thanks.
A lot of the written reviews say you can leg curl past 90 degrees for some reason, but it looks like you could have gone an even further range of motion than you did in the video if you wanted to?

Hey man, How well do you trust that bench leg on the back not to collapse while bench pressing? Just watched you comment on my question- How much would you recommend lifting at the highest amount of weight
Not much lol, never collapsed on me but didn't like the shakiness. I'll put out a video on the Weider Attack Series bench soon. So much better, stay tuned!
Looks closer to an ironing board than a bench press lol Probably fine for a very average user but if you're remotely serious you'd definitely want to invest in higher quality.
I would get the Plate Storage Rack from Dicks Sporting Goods as well. They're pretty cheap. Add any additional leftover weight to the weight storage on the Weider Rack
For the leg curl part of the bench where it has the thicker 2 inch plate rod, does that come off to expose a 1 inch rod? I think you mentioned something about it but I’d like to confirm. I have 1inch plats and would rather not have to purchase a whole new set
