  • Join us for Anna’s Adventures - an exciting peek into a steelhead trout’s trip up the Alameda Creek watershed!
Be our guest on a virtual grand tour of ACWD's fish passage projects located in Alameda Creek. Every attendee will have the best seat in the house as we take you down into the creek bed and alongside the installation of a state-of-the-art fish ladder and give you a behind-the-scenes look at the operation of one of our inflatable rubber dams and first fish ladder, fish screens and water diversion pipelines.
Tour-goers will get a near fish-eye-view of the journey Anna, the steelhead trout, will be able to take once our projects are complete.
These projects have been decades in the making, with the help of our many partners, and are now nearing completion. We'll show the magnitude of these $78 million dollar projects (with partner support and grants) designed to allow threatened steelhead trout, like Anna and other fish species, to migrate easily and safely upstream and downstream. The project will also allow ACWD to maintain reliable water supplies for residents and businesses in Fremont, Newark and Union City. Following the 45-minute tour will be a 15-minute Q&A session.
