I had never fished Choctawhatchee Bay. Thanks to your video, I went to Joe's Bayou and fished the deeper docks. We caught several speckled trout and a couple of Pompanos. Caught my largest speckled trout at 5 lb. Not bad for an ol' Tennessee bass fisherman.
Heading over there next week, gonna give these Matrix shad's that I purchased in 4 colors a shot BUT I also have my Gotcha's ready for the spanish...I'd love to be able to catch my first Red, hopefully some are still around

I know you used those shads which look great and I will give them a try if I can get some? What kind of line are y'all using on your spinning reels? That's where I caught my 27" redfish. I'm from here, and fish everyday. I love it!

Crab Island area is a hot spot for reds and Spanish .
come mid to late March the north side of crab island will be loaded down with spanish. can't wait!

BRANDON, WE BROUGHT THE BOAT ALL THE WAY FROM SLIDELL. IT REALLY WASN'T A BAD DRIVE AT ALL!
