Angelina is 9 years old here - You will see that she is aware of what each musician is doing and communicates to them what she wants to do. The first thing she says is that she wants to start, followed by her saying she wants to start over, later she tells the pianist that the key is too low and that she wants to raise it a half-tone, then at the end of the song she changes the ending on the fly
I love how they explore the song together. I imagine prior they all rehearsed their butts off individually to be able to fit all those pieces in one beautiful … painting.

Angelina, as she so often does, changed some lyrics to a classic song, in this case, Screamin Jay Hawkins "Portrait of a Man" to "Portrait of a Child".
Always entertaining to see a musical genius at work. The amount of soul in her voice, at age 9, is otherworldly.
Angelina will be performing two shows at the Westgate Resort and Casino, in Las Vegas, on February 29th. Angelina, on a tik tok, informed us that soccer great, Lionel Messi, will be attending her concert.
Wonderful reaction, from a musician to musicians rehearsing. Angelina is one of this great band, and they're used to working together, you can see. They've backed her for a number of performances and rehearsal videos. i wish they could have been imported to LA to continue playing with her.

Nice to see you again, Ellis. I knew that you'd appreciate seeing this, seeing how a young prodigy works behind the scenes. 9 years, in full control of all the other instrumentalists and what they do, or what they SHOULD do. Sometimes holding herself back when she hears that one of them is going a little impro, never taking center stage. No wonder musicians call her The Boss 🙂

AJ rewrote Screamin' Jay Hawkins lyrics of "Painting of a Man" to suit her interests. I don't think this was ever performed in public.
I had always wished it was. I could have been incredible.

What would be interesting is if Mery has a similar rehearsal video for IPASOY.

This jam session is actually available with English subtitles for the Norwegian dialog! Angelina is not "directing" the band of excellent jazz musicians, the masters of improvisation, she is simply consulting with them...
Interestingly, this is a 9-year old consulting with equals on the details of a jazz performance! One suggestion is "should I take it up one octave?" - which she then does. We have to forgive her grandmother Mery's camera work, she was not a disciplined professional, she was just recording Angelina for her own memories - which she fortunately ended up sharing with us, the other Angels.
Every experienced musician seems to be impressed by this rehearsal because Angelina seems to be so in sync with the musicians. Too bad you did not get the one with subtitles.

Hi Ellis. I've been in a weird mental health space since the holidays and am just starting to feel like myself again. I've been here watching all of your videos as always but haven't commented much. Just wanted to say I'm still here and have been enjoying your random amalgamation of reactions, but you need to get back to the music, dude. You're missing so many good things in KPop.
