THANK YOU VERY MUCH MASTER...THE ONLY VIDEO THAT HELPED ME...I WAS ALREADY ABOUT TO SEND THE TEAM TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT REPAIRED!...WITHOUT A DOUBT, EXPERIENCE IS THE MOTHER OF SCIENCE.
Great video I have the first issue with the cap and washer I need to replace them both but cant find part numbers or where to buy them any suggestions be greatly appreciated thank you
I never tried to print profile for perforated labels so can't comment much but if it is peaks it means sensor is working. When sensor is dead then you will have just flat thick print. Cable change will be your solution.
I have two Zebra GX430t printers and they both worked perfectly. One day one of the printers had wrap up when it got down to the end of a roll of 6X4 labels. I cleaned out the mess and tried to recalibrate it again for 6X4, with the two blink setup but it wouldn't do it. I can calibrate it for 2.25 X .75 and 2.25 X 1.25 but not for 6X4. There appears to be no damage to the sensor on the bottom, and I cleaned it, the print head and the roller with alcohol. I've reset the printer to its defaults but nothing I have done has worked to fix this. The other GX430 calibrates perfectly, so there is no problem with the software setup. Can you solve the mystery?
Try to print Sensor profile with keeping Feed Button until seven blinks and see if profile has spikes and they height. It's a bit weird issue- usually it either calibrates or not.
@@zebraprinterrepairs Thank you. I believe I tried that along with other methods I read about, but finally gave up and sent it off to Zebra for repair.
Hello, Thank you very much for the video, it is very informative. I have a problem with a ZEP 505 EPL FEdex. it prints very well but after each start (as soon as I turn it off and turn it on) it ejects a label. I don't understand why she is doing this. Can you help me please ?
It means that default action at start up is set to "Feed". It can be changed sending ZPL command ^MFp,h N using Serial connection only. Or simply leave printer all time "On" and you will not have any headache :)
@@zebraprinterrepairs Hello, thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, I can't leave the printer on all the time. and I don't have a serial port on the printer (RJ45 and USB only) I found another tutorial which talks about this problem and which gives the solution but on a ZP 450 and not a ZP505 like mine and I cannot find a way to deactivate the option. :-(
@@billeltouaibia7189 It seems it is the way to solve your problem. You need to download ZDesigner driver for ZP505 from www.fedex.zebra.com/drivers.asp and Zebra Setup Utility from Zebra website. Then you copy command bellow and sent it all at once using USB : ^XA ^MFN,N ^JUS ^XZ via Zebra Setup utility "Open communication with printer" . After command sent restart printer and label will not move after you turn on printer.
i have just change to p1015889 sensor, rev B by A and dont run. I return rev b (black), i clean glass and 2 sensor with alcohol, and i only a curious thing, that only recognizes the paper, when I start it from off. When they change the paper, they have to turn off the printer, and in the other 20 printers that does not happen. And now down, when I hit the feed button, no paper comes out. Any ideas?
You need to do exactly what you see in this video- change cable. It connects to feed button and depending on which traces are broken will create different issues. In your cases it effects not only calibration but feed button as well. You can find cable here: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Zebra-GK420d-ZP450-ZP505-Mainboard-Feed-Button-Cable-Printer-Not-Calibrating-Fix-/224085389851?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
My Zebra GK420 is flashing red slowly. The media is loaded and the lid is fully closed but still keep blinking red. I have tried to calibrate it but after calibration still goes back to flashing red. Any ideas?
First question is it GK420d or t. If d then first thing to check would be Lid Closed Sensor on right side looking from the front under latch - it happens rare but it can be broke. If t - check if print method set correctly- Direct Thermal or Thermal Transfer.
Flash memory chip needs to be taken off, reprogrammed and soldered back. If you don't have tools or skills - I can do it for you: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Repair-Service-Zebra-GK420d-GX420d-GK420t-ZP450-LP2844-Thermal-Label-Printer-/324045505908?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
Disconnect cable from motherboard, undo two screws which secures motor to the frame of the printer and carefully force motor out. No need to remove label holder mechanism.
