Just swapped printheads on our GK420T. Your guide worked beautiful. The spring popped out and poked me in the nose, but other than that, flawless.

So your head did not come with assembly. It slides into the plastic. With a flat head push straight on the end without the ground. Springs are in there. Look at it first. Slide new head back in same way. Slowly use your finger nail to hold down spring one at a time while sliding new head on. There are 3. If one gets damaged leave out the middle one.

We are having a similar problem. Pushing the firmware using the utility and zdownloader did not resolve this issue. It is not our media as we have tested it with other printer models and it is fine. The issue we see is that it calibrates, then we send the print job (batch lot) and it prints the fist 4 every time and then it stops and the red light starts. We clear it and it prints the config pages and then stops again. This is for a printer out of the box and a several in production. We are using a resin ribbon on some jewelry labels (anti theft). We have changed all settings to see if this resolves it. But the very first issues we saw was that the labels would creep out of alignment, like the sensor did not detect the mark. So we changed the settings to resolve that issue but this new issue came out.

The ground clip just pushes in,and the springs underneath the printhead are a little tricky...
