You did not give any exercises in this video to rehab a shoulder and also don’t talk about the difference in rehab between a displaced and non displaced fracture
Thanks for the information. My fracture was near the head and 3 1/2 months out I still have a long way to go for full range of motion. Takes a lot of patience and perseverance!
my fracture was right at the top where the ball of the shoulder was basically sliced off clean, 8 months ago and still don’t have full range of motion but i was in a sling for 3 months and didn’t have surgery until a month after accident. I still have hope though
I broke my humerus in three areas including the head. The physiotherapist was 50/50 initially that my rotator cuff was damaged because for the first two weeks I had nearly no strength in my shoulder. In the third week I started to regain strength and have progressed since and now in my 6th week I can reach my head and put my arm straight out to the side. It’s a very SLOW process and found doing PT in a pool is great! Still struggle with neck pain….think I’m shrugging my shoulders unknowingly. Any advice?
Hi i fell on ceramic floor. Fractured. My humorous. Below the shoulder. Im no longer in a sling but. My. Arm hurts when i raise my arm. Been doing spider on my wall i cant even raise it over my head will it get back to normal
I dislocated, and fractured my shoulder.I wore a brace for 4 weeks and I’m still waiting for PT. We just found out it tore my rotator cuff also which explains intense pain.How long does it take for full recovery?
I broke mine when I slipped and grabbed onto something. My arm got yanked really violently. It's been 6 months and I'm back to work but the tendon or whatever in there still aches.
Hey, just wondering if you're still feeling pain? I fractured mine Jan 2020, tried wearing a sling but needed to work (self employed landscaper). I still feel it's not right and wondering if this is normal
After the surgery an x-ray was done and the report states that "fracture is mildly displaced without significant callus formation, " and in the ninth month still going through pains
After 9 months of no healing my doctor said that's long enough to wait to do surgery. If it hasn't healed by itself by now it's probably not going to. I'm 78 with osteoporosis and a mid-shaft fracture. Surgery in a month due to surgeons schedule.
@@sandragriffiths9692 your humerus was shattered? & I’m sensitive about my arms now I couldn’t imagine going through this again. Mines was 9-12 months to get comfortable
@@taeosama9671 It is not to be recommended🙂 At least this time it is only broken in 4 places🙄 I didn't want a plate and screws because they said it might not work and would have to be taken out again if the bone crumbled, with a 2nd operation, then a further operation to insert a metal humerous (or part of depending) not a good decision to have to make, so......I declined an operation and am trying to get movement back. It is a long difficult process and the type of movement I will get is uncertain. It is mot like this in the movies😁 where they seem fine after a week or so, but I must persevere. @@sandragriffiths9692 that’s good . I had no choice really . My arm hung with no feeling . I had 2 get 2 plates now the whole elbow metal. It doesn’t bend straight.
@@taeosama9671 Bless you, it must be difficult for you. We take a lot for granted I guess, until something like this happens. I am just about able to put my hair back in a band, but it is very messy, but better than hanging all over my face. I can sleep on my good side too, that helps, as I hated sleeping on my back with my arm tied up to my chin till the bones knitted together. It is going to ve a long road ahead, but I am trying. Good luck to you, I wish well🍀🤞☺
Well I broke mine just below the ball had 7 screws in it back in 2007 or 2008 and my arm is frozen to my shoulder blade and I can not raise it more than straight out and it hurts all day everyday!! And it was dislocated for more than 6 hrs! Before surgery was done I was brought by ambulance to 2 different hospitals before surgery on it!!
My fracture was at the top and the neck. It has been 3 months. It is still stiff and 45 degree motiion only :( . My doctor just gave a cortisone shot. I have had 12 weeks Physical therapy already! Any advice?

I broke mines 3 months ago it was dislocated but didn't find out til yesterday that I had a partial fracture

I had that 17 years ago on my left humerus, I have now broken my right arm😣 Yes, I know, I can't believe it either🙄
