- Here's a 4 month art project I've been working on. It's essentially a ton of art projects wrapped up in a mystery box! I like to release mystery boxes every year, because it's a fun to surprise you folks with some things, while making every box consistent in some way too. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little studio vlog from a small art business. 💜

We believe every word about how challenging it is to keep putting up these videos so often, because the time, care, and creativity that goes into Mira's channel really comes through! Definitely some of the best artist videos we've seen. Those little Ampersand Gessobord panels are a lifesaver for busy creators! Definitely a great product, where the quality of materials and construction has been taken seriously from an artist's point of view. Oh, and the recipe cards are pure genius!

I’ve really tried to support the small businesses of the UA-cam artists and creators who have gotten me through the last few years. I know views/likes/subs are great, but it’s nice to know I’ve helped out in other ways, even if I can only make a small purchase.

Thank you for keeping it 💯 in that ending segment. I’m an independent recording artist & all the algorithms of all social media including UA-cam, & ofc Spotify, have just about ruined us. Writing, producing, recording, editing music odd only ONE step of the process to generate the product. The promotion, marketing, engagement, content, creation, etc. is a whole other litany of jobs. I don’t even post anymore bc there’s literally no point. Just like you said, I’m not some AI content generator.
It’s such a shame that instead of PAUSING & asking if we even SHOULD continue to overload people with a paralyzing amount of content, we don’t even consider it and just blast ahead full-throttle. Debilitating brains & deteriorating creatives in the process.
It’s truly sad what is becoming of society at large.
I’ll still be here for whatever you decide to post, & will be sure to keep up with the shop!

Your new vids used to always pop up as one of the first 1-6 vids when I opened YT, but lately, I’ve been having to go to my fave creators’ pages to see if new vids are available. Most of the time, I’ve missed like 3, and it’s been really grinding my gears, as Peter Griffin would say. Now, I’m not even looking at the home page. I go directly to subscriptions and scroll. Maybe everybody has already been doing this, and I didn’t get the memo, but I low key feel like I’ve made a real discovery here 🤣 I, now Imma kick back and enjoy your video 🫶
My general UA-cam suggestions are not what I'm interested in. I have to go to my subscriptions to find what I want. I know other UA-camrs who are having alot of trouble & UA-cam actually keeps deactivating their live stream videos. 😞🤔

I love your glitter washi tapes. They’re so glittery but not overdone and they stick perfectly. You can even pick them up and move them around and they still have sticking power. Plus, you get a good amount for the price. I’m going to have to get that paint brush one. 🩵

I had to stop the video to comment and tell you I got a bit excited cause we have the same coffee machine. I mean I'm in the UK and they're badged as Sage Barista Express machines over here but yeah it's exactly the same machine. I've had mine over 7 years and is still going strong I absolutely love it. Found the easiest way to make my milk is to get it swirling in the jug by pointing the steam wand at the edge of the jug and then basically keeping the steam wand in the milk, put the whole jug down on the drip tray and I swear it makes perfect latte/flat white milk every time. I mean it helps that i have a milk thermometer so i know exactly when it's at the right temp to turn off the steam but you get to the point you can tell by how it sounds as well. Apologies if that's one of those annoying unsolicited bits of advice but like i say I just got overexcited when i realised you had the same machine as me 🤩 and that tip was passed onto me and it made a big difference. And now I've gotten to the end of the video I wanted to comment again just to say how sad it makes me to know what youtube have done to creators. And honestly without even being told, I can see it myself in the numbers of those i follow regularlylike yourself. As someone who loves watching creatives it upsets me on your behalves and honestly it's just big business greed. To have the power to essentially destroy someone's income with a few tweaks to an algorithm is too much. Please know that i always watch all your content, sometimes multiple times, and I love longer videos. Not a fan of the shorts feature at all but unfortunately the social tech world is breeding people with 30 second attention spans and creators are forced to get on board. Anyway, i just wanted to express my appreciation for your content and sympathise with the struggles. I'm in the UK as i said before, so no Mira shop purchases for me, but here's hoping you sell up and out of all those beautiful boxes in record time. Take care. 😊

I totally get the struggle with youtube, as a new creator I'll spend hours painting each day on top of a fulltime job, then all the editing just to get a video up each week. At the moment it kinda feels like I'm doing it for no one (only a few subscribers at the moment) but everyone starts somewhere. There are definitely days where it feels pointless and a lot of work for literally no money... but overall, I do enjoy it.
I remember those days. It was so much work, but so worth it! Kudos to you for starting a channel and pouring your heart and spare time into it. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it, and I'm sure you're already making an impact on so many people. Keep going! 💜

I simply don't understand comments like these! *"Mira Byler - 235K subscribers"* That is 235,000 people. That's the *whole population* of towns like Boise, Idaho, and Norfolk, Virginia, Spokane, Washington, or Richmond, Virginia. Or like Plymouth, and 133 others in the UK. Or more than any sports stadium in the US.
This video has been up for one day at the time I'm writing this, and it already has had 6,400 views.
So tell me, please. On what data do you base your comment?
And now, UA-cam is treating creators like Mira, many of whom have been part of the backbone of UA-cam, are now being treated like A1 robots, or on a par with a 2 minute short. It's here that Mira, and hundreds of others are being under-rated - not by viewers, but by the company they helped to build into a global phenomenom. Shout about *that,* and I'll agree with you!

Encouraging people to comment on *that* aspect is what I am trying to do. If we don't stand up for them and protest, we are going to lose the gold that is made up of the Mira Bylers and Lindsay Weirichs of ArtTube. We'll lose the younger, newer, gifted ArtTubers, as well as the 'backbone', in favour of less-than-a-minute shorts which are destroying the current generations' attention spans (this is *not* off the top of my head, but good research is proving it!) to the point where a 15 - 20 minute video is considered to be too long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's a great art podcast called Creative Catchup where three artists based in England share their thoughts on making and selling art. Their latest episode focuses on marketing. Highly recommend, if you're struggling with algorithms.

I'm curious about what the algorithm/metrics say about people like me who start videos and then watch them over multiple days, because I usually start them after work right before bed. Longer videos like Critical Role livestreams or even this, I'll watch for a bit and then come back the next day.
