Good review, Pete. For daily listening via smartphone and make phone calls, I use the JBL T450. It's an on ear headphone with built-in microphone. I think I will buy this ear buds too, especially the price is right.
Have you checked out the JBL T110? I really liked those for the bass and overall sound quality... Is this less bass heavy than that? Is this an upgrade over it?
I have with my other JBLs and it works pretty well. I’m working on a bit of a vocal mic shootout to show the different between on board and dynamic/condenser mics so night include this as a bit of an in-between.
Hey Pete, sorry off topic question. Let's say you have two projects. Is there any way to get a single audio track out of one project and into another? I was having some fun today recording a song live singing and playing the acoustic simultaneously-recording straight into the iPad Pro a few feet in front of me and then hooking up the Tascam to the iPhone 7 with two mics in the left and right corners of the room. In the end I don't think it's going to work. Just impossible to dig the vocals clearly enough out of the combined tracks. I think I'll try the same thing tomorrow with a separate vocal take. I do have iCloud, so I can send one project from the phone to the ipad and vice versa seamlessly, but I don't know if I can get a single audio track out of one and into the other for final mixing at least within iOS. Any clue? Separate question: I watched your 7 part video series from a year ago about start to finish recording to releasing. Are you still using Reaper for final mastering? I'm really keen to get something out on Distrokid. At first I thought I'd wait until I had an entire album, but I think one at a time is the best approach for me now, and I think it would motivate me more. Thanks mate!
I might have had an inkling about the copy/paste between projects, though it’s only been back in the last couple of versions. Copying audio between projects in GarageBand iOS (iPhone/iPad) ua-cam.com/video/78kwLpr_Lu0/v-deo.html I’ll answer your other question shortly.
So, I’ve tried a bunch of different ways to master my GarageBand iOS projects but my favourite way currently is to use the Final Touch app on iPad. It’s not cheap - about US$20 I believe, but it’s really easy to get a great quality master and you can do it all on iPad. I’ve also played with just using GarageBand and the Apple AU limiter which worked okay, and I’m about to test using the FAC Maxima for mastering in an upcoming video. Episode 11 in this series shows me mastering in Final Touch if you want to take a look. Release an Album - Mixing, Mastering and Releasing ua-cam.com/play/PLc8Xg_23Wa57bqbWMwli-rnFAiraQHEE2.html

Pete Johns Oh, this is great! Thanks heaps for the kind reply and wealth of information. I’ll probably go ahead and get Final Touch, but I bought the FAC Maxima along with the bundle yesterday, so I’ll eagerly look forward to your video on that as well!
I noticed with mine, they have both L and R on both headphones, one large and one small in a circle. Does these mean they can be used upsidedown in your ear?
@@PeteJohnsMusic Ok thanks, I just worked that out from another review that pointed that feature out and showed it on the side of the box. My next question would be when using in that mode l/position, how to you swap the stereo channels so the correct sound/panning is comming out each headphone?
Hey there. I don’t own any Skullcandy at the moment but I have in the past and quite liked them. I like these a little better as they have a better fit in the ear.
Hi mate, how is the sound quality, compared to the JBL inspire 300 you have, as the drivers are a lot smaller (less base or volume, etc?). Also, do you find that they isolate the outside noise too much compared to the Inspire 300's, which are stated as Ambient Aware.
Hey Lee. Thanks for your questions. I’ve been using these as my daily headphones for about a month now and they continue to impress me. The isolation is possibly slightly less than the Inspire 300s but not usually noticeable. In terms of the driver size and bass response, yes there is a little less bass and a slightly crispier top end. I actually don’t live too much bass in earbuds as it can sound artificial and misrepresent the music. I wouldn’t necessarily trust these 100% to mix on, but I use them when editing my videos on my phone and the sound ends up pretty solid.
They are a little more comfortable and have a slightly better fit due to the smaller size and because they are designed for running I guess. I’m using them 2-3 hours a day without any discomfort. Sometimes I forget that I have them in!
@@PeteJohnsMusic thanks to your review Pete, I took my Inspire 300 back and swapped them for these, uchore comfortable and I think they sound as good, if not a little better?
Hey there. I have another video coming out in the next few days so will demonstrate and explain this further. In short, our can turn the earphone 180 degrees and then loop the cable up and over your ears so that they are more secure and less likely to fall out when exercising.

Really good review! Thanks
Very welcome. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
I was a bit sceptical considering the price but was very surprised how good they are for the price.
Agree! These are my go to daily use headphones now. They’re in my ears right now and I just recorded a scratch vocal with the mic.
Have you checked out the JBL T110? I really liked those for the bass and overall sound quality... Is this less bass heavy than that? Is this an upgrade over it?
I actually have a pair of these somewhere!? They are more bass heavy than the Endurance Run but also a good option
Hi Pete, have you tried recording singing into Garageband with these earbuds? I'm interested to hear your experience.
I have with my other JBLs and it works pretty well. I’m working on a bit of a vocal mic shootout to show the different between on board and dynamic/condenser mics so night include this as a bit of an in-between.
Sir, which one better sound quality for jbl T205 and jbl Endurance run ? " jbl T205 12.5mm driver"🙄
Hi there. I haven't actually tried the T205 earbuds I'm afraid so I can'y really compare. They do look like quite similar specs.
which one did u go for
I use and recommend the JBL Endurance Run. Just bought another 4 pairs to make sure I have spares.
@@PeteJohnsMusic I have ordered the jbl endurance run bt one, thanks so much for the review and response 👍🏾

Yup sure can. You can loop them over your ears and use them upside down.

hey how do you switch the left and right audio when using the fliphook feature
Depends on your device. It’s usually in the accessibility options.

please tell what kind of drivers are present in this pair of earphones

Hi there. The drivers are 8.2mm.
These are gud for gaming or not ..? I mean these earphone support surrounding sound 🔊
They would be okay for gaming, but don’t have a heap of bass, so if you like lots of low end you might want to look elsewhere.
@@PeteJohnsMusic which one is better Sennheiser 213 or jbl endurance run.....
Can we wash this earphone with water ??
It is water resistant so you can wipe it down but I wouldn’t recommend submerging it in water.
is it comfortable ?
Yup. I use them for several hours a day and find them super comfortablez
