- I was going through some old videos and found this one from earlier this year. It could be helpful to someone.
Getting a wig and opening the box for the first time is one of the MOST nerve-wracking parts of the wig-wearing journey. Wigs OFTEN don't look perfect out of the box and so you will need to be prepared for that and have a plan for how to deal with it. I don't go into ALL the details of making a wig your own, but I do talk a bit about some fundamental things to do to wake a wig up and hopefully get it looking more like you were hoping. My measurements
○ Circumference= 22" (average)
○ Front of Hairline to nape of neck (over top of head)= 12.75" (average is 14.25")
○ Ear to ear over top of head= 13" (average is 13.5)
○ Temple to temple around back of head= 14.25
○ Hairline to eyebrow= 2.5"
○ Hairline to tip of nose= 4.75"
○ Hairline to bottom of chin= 8"
○ Neck= 4"

Beautiful! This style is my holy grail and I hope they never discontinue it. What a difference that last photo makes - with the contrast between the dark sweater and the light hair. Still trying to figure out if I like the dark roots or not; my genetic hair was Nordic blonde, now faded to salt and brown - as mousy as you can get. This would be a huge change for me. I wish the manufacturers would show EVERY wig color including the roots along with a verbal description - so often they show only a small sample and of straight hair, not wavy or curly which makes a huge difference and often they don't even show the roots in the samples. Hard to figure out what you're going to get.

If I can make a suggestion about how to tame that front piece ( I have several Finn wigs). …. You can gently pack-tease that area at the root and that will lift those fibers up and give them support. Of course it must be done slowly and gently because of the front mono area. It works well for me. I also like to rake through those curls to separate them a bit the first time I wear her. I try to avoid doing that every time I put her on though. I hope this helps.

LOL, I figured that is why I put it in there... it can be hard when you don't get videos uploaded immediately because people always assume you just filmed the video (of course, I do the same)! Nope- still growing it out! I actually want to see if I can get it long enough to try a few toppers... I don't personally want to wear them, but there are a lot of women not quite ready for full wigs yet and since I have never covered toppers I would like to learn so I can add that kind of support here. No- I actually filmed this months ago and found it in my drafts. I will be honest and say this color isn't for me, either... it reminds me of a bleach blonde from the 80s... but a lot of women love it so I'm glad they made it even if it isn't for me. HUGS my friend!
