  • Overloud proprietary technology allows our engineers to capture the response of an entire rig, including the nonlinear and dynamic response of the amplifier, the cabinet, the microphones, the mic preamplifier and the room sound.
The Rig Player, integrated into TH-U, allows to reproduce any nuance of the sampled rigs.

Hats off to you OVERLOUD! I believe you have created tones out of the Rig Player thats way better than BIAS has to offer

The sound you can get out of Rig Player is insanely good. Especially when you see how little CPU it requires! Because its a "profile" and not an entire plugin, its super lightweight.
The absolute best part is that they allow you to disable the cabinets and use your own IR files. That fact alone destroys any other "profiler" plugin (Im talking about ToneHub here). ToneHub is crap compared to this.

It's identical to Kemper including its lack of dynamics. I wish TH-U would do what Kemper will not do and make a more modern version that that has more dynamics, because Kemper tech is dating fast.

@@lorenmorgan1931 The new generation is already getting started. Not by Overloud but by independent developers. Check out Steve Ack. He made an AI trainer that can listen to a guitar DI and listen to that DI being played through an amp and model the amplifier sound in the form of a portable VST3. It is still in its infancy but its remarkably accurate to the original amplifier.

@@jasonzdora great to know, i really appreciate it. I will check it out for sure, and always glad to see someone take Kemper down, simply becuse they refuse to innovate. At least when he was making synths he updated it with a version 2.

So, when choosing a package at Overloud's site for "RIGS", how can I understand what I'm choosing. Yeah, they all have cute names, but that's not helpful at least not for me. For example Ihere are some great sounds I like, that I'm hearing from say Josh Smith, or Matt Schofield. Sort of a slight crunch but, It's not a big, giant over crunch. Making this harder, It's not clean either. I'd love to try and reproduce that sound as close as I can. Is there a RIG package that will get me close? What am I looking for? All those big fat overdrive sounds are fantastic but I play more rock, blues type stuff and sometimes I want a more "pushed" sound. "Pushed" sound? See what I mean? WTF is that right? What I'm sayin is I have no idea how to choose what I'd like at Overlound's site. If you could make that clearer I'd be very thankful. Thanks

I wish you would release the software that converts Kemper profiles into Rig Player profiles.

I think Kemper has the patent on this until 2026 so until then no dice, because if they they ever did they would be sued into oblivion, only because that patent. The could on the other hand do what Laser and Eagle did years ago when they cloned the Apple II and IBM PC.

Honestly I have both Kemper and TH-U and I totally recommend TH-U BUT WITH CHOPTONES RIGS. Like the Kemper, factory profiles are not good at all, but I can't tell the difference between my Kemper loaded with chop tones profiles of a HBE or BE50 and the one you can buy on Overloud for half the money.
If fact I don't even understand why Overloud don't make more publicity for rig player, it's even better than my axe fx III with the effects.

@@MrHardrocker98 have both Kemper and axefxIII... and for what I had recorded these last months I have more pleasure and more inspiration to run TH-U than my two expensive racks...! BUT I still love my Kemper, it really feel like a good tube amp with tasty signal chain. Rig Player is also very nice, in fact I can't really ear the difference, it's incredible for this price and with so low cpu consumption! AxeFXIII is strange. I loved it the first week and then I found something wrong in the amp sounds... had to high cut systematicaly and I don't know, something is tiring my ears, that I don't have with the Kemper or TH-U... even S-Gear is more pleasant to listen to on long term sessions...
In fact if you can afford, first get TH-U but having Kemper is for today the most professional and reliable solution, for the axefxIII it's good too, but only as an addition OR for effects only (they are very good but your set up will be more complicated.

the software is interesting but you really need to update it. its sluggish the interface is a bit clunky for navigating each setup and the graphics on the amps and such are kinda bland.

Who cares? It's a toaster like Kemper. When you're playing it no one's going to say "I wonder how attractive his amp is?" They're gonna ask how's he making those badass tones.
