US gives billions to war efforts and that money should be for homeless care and facilities.
How can someone pay a fine when they don't have a home?
How can someone be under the jurisdiction of a city with out a home.
Okay, but in the real, non-bleeding-heart, world, you have people panhandling in new town each day and living in an apartment with 3 other "homeless" guys who are all pulling the same nonsense.

Rather than spewing hate, you should be asking why there's a growing problem with people becoming homeless in the first place. I seriously doubt the vast majority of those people want to be homeless. Which seems to be what you're implying.

Good way to ensure more crime, by making the desperate people graduate to hopelessness... This is not even a relevant question... The question should be should we penalize states for not solving this civil situation. Rent is absurd, labor income is disgraceful... I say if a State homeless population exceed a decided threshold, That the state should be fined, and the Governor and Mayor in question should face criminal charges... I cannot even believe someone could think those poor homeless people should be punished for misfortune. How insidious and callous.

No matter where they stay they are brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, of every American. The lack of shelter, proper zip code, and voter identification should never be enough to criminalize hunger, mental illnesses, and addiction. Shame on our elected officials who have the ability to solve this issue but lack compassion and the desire to help.

Rental cartel's are controlling rent prices across the nation. It's a fact, look it up.
Mortgage payment is directly proportional to rent.
Banks are setting on homes to drive up housing costs.
Proposal: Do like Spain's government did and force the banks to sell the homes within 90 days or loose the property. Then donate the house to an actual needy FAMILY.

Sweet..Now where are they to go?perhaps they can live in the supreme Court and municipal offices.
Half hearted attempt at trying to solve a problem softly that needs a hard decision to be made.
Mental illness and drug addiction are the leading cause of perpetual homelessness.
Offering a solid way out of poverty requires people to make a decision themselves about what they want.
Devise a program that will give people a path to a better life.
Group homes.
Steady employment.
Therapy.
Accountability.
Self reliance.
It’s a start, but it’s a heck of a lot better than just throwing money and tickets at the problem hoping it will go away.

Homeless people have the right to life just as everyone has. This is the inevitable outcome for most Americans. With our money being inflated none of us can afford to live. We will all end up in a tent city or a Fema camp.

I honestly don’t see SCOTUS fully outlawing being homeless I do see there having to be limits. Everything must have a limit. I have been homeless in my life. Took me 5 months to have a shot at getting my stuff together to actually get a life. I’m very thankful for the help i received at that time. I feel this is a very hard subject to just form respectable legislation on for all parties. Sadly we are running out of money to really foot a serious move on fixing this ever growing issue in the States.

Many states ,cities,towns already have laws against homeless encampments. Of course the media ignores the filth...crimes,harassment by the homeless. Instead,..they interview one former homeless, and one that is wearing a hat I couldn’t afford to buy.
I once was almost homeless & homelessness should not be a crime especially with people who obey laws & don’t do drugs or drink , they are people & some of them can make it on a minimum wage job paying high rent everywhere in the United States , some of them have disabilities like myself that can’t work & are on SSI & then you don’t receive enough to pay bills & you need extra help from people , raise the minimum wage in all states to over $25.00 dollars a hour with very little taxes taken out , that would help out drastically . See everybody wants the American dream but when your getting taxed like crazy at a minimum wage job , you can make it in this world , people want to hold you down when your skills are beyond your pay rate & that’s not fair to anyone .

What a freaking waste...its right up there with the income criteria for sect 8/public housing thats required...ya have 2 be making at least like $3500 per month in order 2 be eligible to even apply to get on the waiting list! Plus they require u to pay the first 2 months rent + last month + a deposit + a nonrefundable application fee if u want to move into a place! Idk about u, but idk of any homeless individuals who can afford that...🤔🙄🤷♀️🤦♀️🥺 like c'mon!
