His mom and dad are best friends for me and my husband. I know Hamza and the rest of the gang who are younger since they were born. This made me so proud that watched with tears in my eyes. The parents are remarkable people from Palestine. One of the best things that happened when I was studying at Ohio University was to meet them. His dad holds a PHD. in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University with a 4.0 GPA yet an amazingly humble person who spends his free time in his garden raising most of the vegetables for his big family and even neighbors and colleagues. His mom cooked for more than 300 people for my wedding at OU, and took care of my kids during my deliveries when we moved to NY just as acts of kindness. Theirs was a joyful house where you would find action in every room and always good food and homemade bread. My oldest son when he was 3 or 4 years old used to hide under the beds when it was time to go home hoping that I would not find him so he would stay overnight. My son's dream came true after many years when he went back to NY to study and they welcomed him as their 10th child in their house for five years. No matter how many miles between NY and Istanbul and the number of years since 2000-the year we returned to Turkey-, our hearts remain connected. Thank you for this amazing video, Brian & Alex!
