They have been domesticated since over 10 thousand years ago and I am not at all surprised that we chose them as our friends so early. They are lovely.
our family has a house pigeon as well. his name is horus. & we refer to him as a housefalcon. 😹 he's smart, cuddly, sweet, & very loving -- loves being part of our flock.
I am so happy that this guy exists!🌟🌟🌟🌟 Pigeons are wonderful, intelligent, loyal birds who are misunderstood and underrated by too many people unaware of their incredibly beautiful qualities. It's likely that there are still hardships for this man yet I understand his bliss when surrounded by birds who recognize him as a friend. So happy to see this video. Thank you for creating it!
Love the fact the entire video has a playful tune in the background yet he did cut off the heads of 2 people, understandably a crime of passion...but ...he cut off heads of 2 people 😬
This is awesome! There’s a lady out of Snohomish Washington my hometown, who feeds the pigeons every single day! She has all sorts of birds try to come eat at her doorstep but it’s always a flock of pigeons!
@@thoughtstorn854 I also think rats are great. The worst thing these pigeons can do is transfer a few bird mites onto me, but they can't survive on humans, and it's never happened anyway. Pigeons are a historically domesticated bird, bred for beautiful plumage, good nature, and skillful navigation. In a way, we humans made them. That considered, I think its very callous to apply meaningless prejudice to any animal, especially one we are responsible for creating.
I started feeding the doves in my back yard and have become a big fan of them. They've gotten to a point now where they aren't even afraid of me and will be sitting there in the morning waiting for me to toss out some seeds for them and will walk up pretty close to me
Pigeons are fascinating animals. Just look at the role homing pigeons played in wars and battles throughout history. To racing pigeons being kept in every class of society from the royal pigeon loft all the way to a welsh coal miners back garden.
This dude is a dope ass person, he is real and has a good soul its easy to see. This was incredibly enjoyable to watch and made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. :)
Reminds me of my favorite song from Mary Poppins, "Feed the Birds". We get lots of wild birds, squirrels & raccoons around here (Colorado). Some of the larger birds, & the other animals know me well enough to recognize my voice & feed from my hands 🥰🥰🥰 It's so heart warming!
He's happy with what he's doing and that's all that should matter 🥰 & I love his carefree personality!! When I 1st saw this post I thought I was going to be watching a video on how this guy uses these pigeons for sending & receiving messages, but this is just as good!
Pretty easy to be carefree when you don't care. I wish I didn't care about my family or society. Then maybe I wouldn't have to be a productive member of society
I've always loved pigeons since I was a little kid. My mother would sometimes find either baby pigeons or wounded pigeons around the area and bring them home for a few weeks. We'd take care of them, they'd get better, and then we'd set them free. Some didn't make it and we'd bury them. Honestly, pigeons are probably my favorite bird. They are gentle and loving, and of all the birds they are among the few that I feel can develop a strong bond with a person. The only thing that I'd be concerned about is eating or touching my face without first having washed my hands after contact with them, but aside from that, I love what this guy is doing and hope that there are many more like him. And I can't stand people who hate pigeons. I think how a person feels about pigeons and especially how they behave towards pigeons says a lot about their character, for better or for worse.
Good. He got revenge and gets to walk free. I’m happy for this man and I’m happy he found what he likes the most in life. Just wish it didn’t have to happen in the worst way possible.
Reminded me of a guy we used to call "Squirrel Man". He'd be in Union Square Park and would feed the squirrels and let them climb up on him, take peanuts he was holding in his teeth, etc, etc. One day a friend and I were sitting in the park watching his escapades and he suddenly grabbed a squirrel (which was not happy about it) and wrapped the squirrel in the bottom of the t-shirt he was wearing and ran from the park. We were dumbfounded. At first we thought he might take it home to kill it but he was wearing a "Vegan's Do it Better" t-shirt so we think maybe he thought the squirrel needed some TLC..
Just got so happy seeing my guy Larry on here! I've been watching him since 2011 with Ricky Syres for some time now glad he's doing well miss the karate fit btw Larry
A little bit of bread isn't too bad as a treat but it shouldn't be a lot. It's not exactly bad for them it just doesn't give them any nutrition so it has to be small amounts in addition to real food.
I think biggest ability we humans have is the ability to help and take care of species other than us. What's the point of life if you won't help weaker beings. Every time you help out animal, god gives you one point.
Yeah like Having so many birds at the same time causes diseases. Why can’t people think about this? It’s ridiculous. And that’s not okay or normal to be “the pigeon man”. Being around so many pigeons or birds is dangerous for health.
Regular feeding creates an environment conducive to pigeon overpopulation. Large numbers of pigeons can overwhelm an area, leading to hygiene issues, unpleasant odours, and increased risk of disease transmission
Theres nothing wrong with interacting with animals. This is no different to when i throw birdseed in my yard to have all the bluejays and cardinals come to eat. Lets not treat this guy like he’s doing something weird. He’s simply enjoying nature. Its a respectable hobby. Mike Tyson did this….. but you wouldn’t say NOTHING to iron mike.

But how often do pigeons see elephants and dolphins ?
