Before the Metrodome deflated for the last time, Viktor took some time to pack up his things and take one last look around the building he called home.
In the early 2000's the MLB was looking to contract teams (Minnesota Twins and Montreal Expos, now Washington Nationals) and after the plan fell through, the Minnesota state legislature approved the funding for a new ballpark, marking the construction for Target Field, and the end of the Twins tenure at the Metrodome.

While it was better for football, the Vikings lost a lot of their edge when they moved in. The Metrodome had an air-supported roof and had to be kept air-tight to prevent the roof from caving in. Whenever a door was opened there was a huge rush of air that could sometimes push you around. It's hard to explain if you haven't experienced such a stadium.
I do fully understand this problem the Metrodome had. It was a common thing that visitors and fans always had to deal with. It can be funny, but if it's over and over again, it gets pretty old. Now that US Bank Stadium is up, nobody has to deal with this problem.
The snowstorm isn't the reason. The Vikings had wanted a new stadium for a while. They didn't want the metrodome anymore, so they demo'd it. The snowstorm was actually from the early 2000's.
Packers are one of a kind. that's for sure. Loved Bart Starr when i was a kid. But grew up jn Denver and been a Bronco Fan since ''66'' Bart was tuff , along with Johnnie U. Fan T. and Kenny S. The good ol days.
