Thank you! I’m glad you found it useful, it took me a lot of time to get the right leather and spent too much money that way haha. So hopefully it saves you both. If you have any other specific questions, let me know. I’m happy to answer
Wow, thank you! I’m so glad you found it helpful. If there is something else I could put out there that you think is missing, I’d be interested to know!
No problem! The sites are tough to navigate for sure. Since you are a beginner, let me know if I could put something out there that you need but can’t find. You can let me know on here or email at whitetailleathercraft@gmail.com. Good luck on your next project!
I appreciate the kind words! Of course, the machine I have is the Master Tool Cub manual sewing machine made by Weaver Leather Supply. That’s a great idea for a short which I can put together soon! It’s an awesome machine that allowed me to make much bigger projects without taking up a lot of space on my workbench in my apartment. There is a lot more physical effort with the hand crank but it’s a good workout at least
No problem! That’s unfortunate. If you have Reddit, there are posts in the leatherworking chat that include a list of suppliers in different countries. Maybe there will be one you haven’t come across yet?
I do enjoy watching the process of leather shoe making as well! Unfortunately, I don’t have anything in the subject. If you are considering this as a hobby though, I think leather shoe repair is a great place to start and my favorite is Trenton and Heath. They have great shoe repair videos and tutorials and it could be a cool way to get started into some skills before moving to making from scratch. Hope this helps!
Wow great video. You aren't kidding about these sites being overwhelming for beginners. Thank you!

Without a doubt one of the most useful leather craft videos I’ve seen for the newer enthusiast. Thanks for the help.

Thank you. Great video. Very helpful. Just curious, what is that sewing machine on your table. Would love to see how you operate that. Thanks

The "weight" of leather is actually a measured thickness. I don't know why it's done this way, but it. Each "ounce" is actually a 1/64" of an inch.
That was very helpful thank you! I am in Canada, for us Tandy leather closed during covid leaving us with little to no options up here.

@@WhitetailLeathercraft that is a good suggestion. Thank you!
Tandy didn't close during Covid. Not in BC. I started my leather craft journey during that time. That's where I got ALL my leather from.
Thank you for this!
You’re welcome, I’m glad the information was useful!
I want be schooled on the process of making the shoes.
