Maynard - the greatest of all time! It always amazes me that as Maynard ascended thru the upper register he got more and more powerful. A good example is 2.00 in this recording. Normally a trumpeter's sound gets thinner and weaker as they go up, Maynard's sound got fat and juicy. Maynard defied physics!
