I regret buying this one.... it's a big lesson to me. Not to buy immediately. Watch first the reviews at least 4 mos after market, before you buy. The software, the battery, I'm totally not happy....

I don't have any problems with stability of GoPRO 7 and 8. Maybe this is related to SD card that I'm using? Battery is on the same level but I have to buy new - the originals.

Just another Hero 8 flaw. Of course being the very same hardware as the Hero 7 but at very expensive firmware update prize you can only feel deception as you discover it has so many flaws. The side door allowing dust to enter the battery bay and the SD slot when having a power source plugged into the USB connector, the mounting fingers not keeping the camera very firm on its mount, the non removable lens which may potentially trash your camera, the Hypersmooth generating ghosts and jitter on its Boost setting, the freezing just as in previous 6 and 7 and not being compatible with existing 3rd party batteries are very bad news for buyers. A DJI Osmo Action which never freezes, has similar EIS and it's cheaper is a much better choice. If you have a Hero 6 or 7 dont upgrade. GoPro does not deserve your money.

I had GoPro Hero 3 before. Then when I bought 7 I was charmed by it. In my opinion GoPro Hero 7 is very good. I’ve bought 8 only for new mods like better mic. Unfortunately rest of the camera is downgrade 🥺
