Transfer Gel Duo with Stencils | Technique

In this video, I share MY tips for applying transfer gel duo over stencils for foiling on handmade cards.
I achieve amazing results every time using this method of applying the transfer gel.
Use transfer gel duo on acetate, yupo paper, and more with a no-heat setting or pressure from a die-cutting machine.

Use a nail file on the plastic bench scraper to remove the grooves and re-smooth the edge

These tips are very helpful and I see what you mean by the concave effect of scraping off the excess gel; because I have had that problem in the past. Now I know how to eliminate that! Great video, I bought but have not used the duo gel yet! I had no idea you could use no heat on the laminator to use window sheets! TFS😃
Thank you. The Minc Machine has a no-heat setting, one of the many reasons I love it. And now, the foiling possibilities are endless combining the duo gel and that no-heat setting. ❤
This is a fantastic video! You gave so many helpful tips, and explained your reasons for doing certain things or using certain products so wonderfully. I'm crazy about the stencil you used on that card too. I have so many ideas now!

I was hoping you would demonstrate this by not using heat.
You can run this through your die cutting machine and the let pressure from the machine transfer the foil. I still recommend you let the duo gel cure for at least 24 hours. Hope that helps.
How do you keep your stencil from bleeding?
When applying the gel you never use pressure, a light hand always. The pressure forces the gel under the stencil. Try not to overwork the gel, too. The more you fuss with it the greater the chance of it bleeding under the stencil. Keep trying and be very mindful not to use pressure. It took me a while to get it right, too. Let me know how it goes.
