But to be honest im running the old but gold i7 3770K CPU and not really gaming alot on pc nowadays, and my EVGA GTX 770 just died. Will just use the intels iGpu to power the monitor & save bucks for an upcoming PS5 Pro instead. As a gfx card in a console never died on me. But the ones on pc does! My philosophy anyways! 😉

    I waded into the shallow end of the Arc pool - my secondary gaming PC is always experimental, and unlike my wife, is where I usually game. It's current iteration is the a380 paired with a Pentium g7400. I didn't skimp on the other parts, as it is meant to upgrade - so it has good DDR5 Ram and high speed SSD/NVME capabilities. I'm also using a business class motherboard, for durability and because I really, really like the sleeper aesthetic of green motherboards...
    It is solid, not great, not an insane machine by any stretch - but it is (mostly) stable and consistent. I can vouch that the Arc cards work with CRTs with an adapter, BTW (it's a sleeper build, with a sleepy modern layout, LOL).
    I'm starting to seriously consider upgrading my RX6600 to a higher end Arc card, maybe waiting for BattleMage... I am wholeheartedly backing Intel as the underdog here because I am very tired of the duopoly - and very, very concerned about Nvidia and their goals going forward...

    All the reviews on UA-cam have generally been very positive. I think the market needed another big name to try and keep prices grounded. Also intel seem to be aiming their GPU at the lower to mid tear GPU market.

      I think Intel are doing all of the right things. They're constantly pushing drivers out for Arc cards. I think targeting the low to mid tier for now is the smartest option, until their drivers are rock solid.

    Interesting how the A750 keeps being bottlecked by 1080p. This is a 1440p card and does not scale like the competition.
    I got my A750 for what now is equall to £156 and that includes 25% VAT, and it pairs well with my Ryzen 5600.

  • @GoWstingray
    @GoWstingray 7 місяців тому +2

    I'm not an Arc shill or anything and I own a RTX3080, but it does slightly annoy me when reviewers mention resizable bar support with a negative slant, I know Arcs price category could attract users of older systems, but Intel have to draw a line in the sand somewhere to start development from. They probably just started with current technology standards, which includes having the full address space of the video card memory available to the CPU, this has been a thing for the last 6 years even some 200 series boards have it; a bit extreme but its kind of like me complaining complaining my 3080 isn't performing great on and a core 2 duo with PCIE Gen 1.
    Warning, Bro Science: It could be said its partly the Intel CPU departments fault, for stagnating the processor market for a number of years until Ryzen got decent, this probably had negative ramifications across the game development space, and it might of been that no one would even consider using a 8 year old processor as it would just old for games today, but you reap what you sow I guess!

    I got one of these for £179.99 last month and I really like it. I just wish The Last of Us ran better on Arc cards - if so, I'd be over the moon as that's such a low price for a good amount of power

  • @Riveda1972
    @Riveda1972 4 місяці тому

    Thanks. Without RB you can expect a ~40% drop in performances (gaming). Another good thing is taking advantage of the deeplink, having the intel integrated graphics card (if you don't have a "F" CPU of course) working together with the GPU. Another thing to take into account is its wide bus (256 bit) which has no competitor in the same price range, and this makes this card an excellent budget option for content creation and productivity programs, outside the gaming activities (excluding Adobe After Effects and 3d professional renderings where nVidia still has no rivals).
    ps: for those who aren't scared about some minimal "hacking", games running on old directX 11 and 9 can take a significant boost by using the Vulkan DLLs installed in the game directory, above all with a great corrective effect on the lowest 1% and 0.1% values of fps.

    Appreciate your adding ARC content to the channel. 👍
    Testing with an old platform that doesn't support rebar is going to be a trainwreck. Frame pacing will be horrific depending on the title. And as you are discovering, CPU driver overhead is even higher than Nvidia's. But hey, it's for science so have fun and try not to cringe too hard.
    Hardware XeSS is quite good, considerably better than FSR, you should test it. It would have changed your 1440p experience in Cyberpunk for the better. Witcher 3 as well.
    You didn't provide any context for why you consider God of War performance poor. Compared to what? It'll spank the more expensive RTX 3050. It can hang with the other under $200 option here in the U.S. the RX 6600, and I think it's actually faster at 1440p using DXVK. Here in the U.S. you can get various A750 models for as little as $180 and it's bundled with Assassins Creed Mirage and another game.
    It's your first content with ARC, and this is meant as a constructive critique. So...now you have done the basic - is it for casuals? content. Time to dig deeper homie. Because if you want to give ARC a fair shake? You have to test the hardware upscaling and test out what happens when you drop the DXVK files into the game folder of underperforming DX11 titles.
    I have the same A750 LE, and an ASRock Challenger A380 I like to mess around with. I tell everyone ARC is the box of chocolates; you never know what you're gonna get.

      Thank you for the tips mate! You've given me a lot of content to think about. I also totally forgot about the DXVK for older DirectX API games lol. I'm also looking to source some similarly priced GPUs (RX 6600/XT, etc.) to compare against the Arc A750 too.
      But as always mate, thank you for pointing this out to me!

    With Arc you definitely need a beefy CPU to brute force some of the CPU overhead in the drivers. I wish to use the ARC 750 graphics card for a setup involving three 4K monitors (3840X2160) for a trading PC. I do not intend to use it for gaming. Will it work okay with my i5 14500 processor and MSI Pro B760M A DDR5 motherboard? I also plan to add another 4K monitor later. Will this graphics card be able to handle that without any problems? My alternative options are the NVIDIA T600 graphics card or a T1000. For comparison, I am getting them at the following prices in India - ARC750 8GB at INR 21199; T1000 4GB at INR 24900; T1000 8GB at INR 30600.
