I can see some stuff you made up as your going along martial arts is about experemanting but the most practical and simple stuff works in real life i was getting robbed got the robber in a gilotine and he was out cold in 6seconds he woke up didnt know where he was and what happened it was the most practical move for the situation i was in what im saying is that evry move has a purpose for each situation in real life not one move will work evrytime
fairly certain I have vastly more experience in the dojo and real world situations to know what works.

God Wolfman!! You remind me of me!!... I was doing this kind of stuff with my students who wanted to practise it other than the usual Tomiki aikido I was an instructor of ... I've retired now, but it's nice to see someone using their brains and doing applications in a much more realistic way than the standard syllabus!! It can be practised like this without going OTT and its really good to see!... Great stuff!!

@@DanTheWolfman I always said this to the British Aikido Association org I was in for 18 years, but it seemed to fall upon deaf ears that we could have an extension in the training very much like this for people who were interested, but they wanted to keep it "pure"... Before doing this style I was also an amateur boxer in the Royal Navy for sport & some self-defence, did a year in judo before I entered service at 16 yrs old....Also tried out Goju Ryu and Wing chun for a just over a year after I left the service after 1974, then stumbled across the Tomiki club and liked it because of the free toshu randori shiai...Did a fair bit of competition at a national level before it became international... I ended up being a senior coach and a 4th dan... After 93 went my own way, taught the Tomiki system for those who wanted it and did the mix with those who were game, but there weren't a lot of takers so did it as a sideline for those who did ... I preferred it to be honest as you could experiment without going ott as the pros do, but they're getting paid!! We were amateurs doing what we liked without looking like you've been in a prizefight when going to work the next day!! Ha ha!

some good practical stuff in here... unfortunately like all self defense techniques they are mostly useless unless you just actually learn how to fight. if you want to defend yourself you need 5 things as far as I am concerned: Wrestling (most important), BJJ, MT/Boxing, atienza kali or comparable basic weapons defense, and a CCW. LOL
