  • Welcome to Part 5 of this SBC 329 cu.in. journey!
This time, we add pressure-valve spring pressure-with another dyno-test to follow!
Because cam specs have been requested:
The lobes are from Comp Cam's Extreme Energy family and are numbers 3314 and 3315.
It’s 224/230 @ .050” lift. With 1.6 rockers our lift is .536/.544 at the valve.

Nice engine that you built!. Every one likes different size engines but that horsepower & torque numbers were very impressive! Merry Christmas! 💥🎄💥🎄

What do you think the power would be with stock 2.02 with a valve job would do?

ALWAYS set your springs up .050 from stack.

A street motor that will 7000 rpm, pump gas, 114 LCA and less than 350 cid, YOOOOWZZZAAA! Any thoughts on offering a set up like this for sale? I guess I could waste a lot of time trying to think up another combo....but why. I would definitely put this in my cruiser drive to the track, foot brake it, win rounds, and lie to everybody by saying it's a 383.

Spring pressure is lbs, not PSI, right ? Increase spring pressure by 38 PSI ? Great build !

If your getting that hp and torque. What could you get out of a stroked small block like maybe to 454cu.

Nice build! I'm doing a 'run what I have' pump gas project. 389 sbc, typical 3.75 stroke 5.7" rod 4.06 bore. zero deck 10.5 ish compression. The heads are a bit big.. off the shelf race CNC 64 cc edelbrock 215's, raised exhaust ports 2.08 valves. Air Gap intake. 750 QF mechanical carb. I'm looking at mechanical roller cam options for 3000-5500 jet boat. It's kind of like a 3000 stall. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

What size rods did you use and do you use the 400 balancer and flywheel?
