i went back to watch the live stream then this one, and i noticed the game freezes for a moment whenever you play 'facade' so it's definiately doing something. one idea i have for it, if it's possible to do, is play it from different angles, so you can better hear the position of where the effect is coming from, like from the backside of the xylophone or from the sides if you can reach (maybe use a long / giant item to extend your reach)
I see that it was not the book... the next thing that comes to my mind is that maybe the face that shoots apples then you have that lasersword in hand shoot out something else maybe? that is somehow the only thing that you didn't try
