Right now I’m listening through 3 CD set of Simon & Garfunkel called “Old Friends.” You really can’t go wrong with either JBL or Polk Audio speakers (unless they’re broken or otherwise trashed). I would have paid $40 for those towers without thinking twice. Right now, I’m away from my primary base of operations in Phoenix, and the thrift stores around where I am have little music to speak of and no gear (zip, zero, nada). Nice scores overall!
Simon & Garfunkel is a good choice! Also you’re right about $40 on the Polks… I’m just a cheapskate…. one time I picked up a nicer pair of Polk towers with a Yamaha receiver for $23 at a yard sale. Hope you’re able to find some stuff in AZ. God bless! 😊🙏
Listen to his early albums Sailor and Children of the future, they're completely different to his commercial Joker stuff, it's his best work by far imo.

Those Polk speakers are really nice! Both systems sound wonderful but I think I like the second system best. Great scores all around.
