      I'm just a bit confused by the wild mix of using the original titles and substituting sometimes pretty vague english translations instead.
      Noticed it first with "Blue Danube" that should be named An der Schönen blauen Donau if you go with Mozart using the title "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik". Also pretty sure "Morning Mood" by Grieg had a very unpronouncable norvegian original title and so on... Later you go back to german with "also Sprach Zarathustra" by Wagner, but there is an english translation.
      The mix is just confusing and hard to get behind if you want to quiz with the pieces.
      And then there is of course the problem that you do not ALLOW the watchers to quiz as you immediately show the titles. At least make the first 2/3 of the playtime of each piece without words and then reveal for the last few seconds.
      But a good selection, well chosen representations/recordings of the titles and most will probably guess few titles or composers correctly.
      Also very daring to tease the patience of the big Mouse Corporation so with using their material for the Sorceror's apprentice and Bald Mountain with the Fantasia Clips.
      But why then did you NOT put the images of Goofy and his orchestra playing the OUVERTURE from "Guillem Tell" (or ouverture from William Tell) when that bit arrived?? Stay consistent in your insanity, please! :D

    • @ClassicalPower
      @ClassicalPower  2 роки тому +14

      @@Ugly_German_Truths Actually the only reasons I've chosen those titles are because these musics are just most commonly known as such, maybe it's me but I've never seen eine kleine nachtmusik traslated in english while I see "Blue Danue" all the time. Secondly I don't know why some people like you take for granted that this is a "quiz" and proceed to comment as if it was: this is definitely not made as a quiz and indeed it isn't. I've made two "classical quizzes" if you are interested btw.
      (...Also sprach Zarathustra by Wagner??)

      @@ClassicalPower The title just sounds like a challenge ;)
      Thus spoke Zarathustra is definitely a common translation of the book AND the musical piece.

      You are not alone, as that holds true for me, as well. And I believe it is also so for many, many others, besides us. Warner Bros also used classical works in their productions; cases-in-point, "Rabbit of Seville", and the near-legendary "What's Opera, Doc?" In fact, what many people call "Road Runner's Theme" is actually called "The Dance of The Comedians". Look it up. It's a fun one to listen to.

It's amazing that all these people wrote such beautiful music that is used up til today and is a part of modern culture. All brilliant music composers who heard their musical pieces in their minds first , then played the tune with a piano or

    for additional accompaniment with different musical instruments to complete the whole composition.
    Truly a rare and mystical talent that echoed out of their souls.

    I will always credit my bit of love towards classical to my grade 3/4 art teacher. She'd give us our in class tasks and then she'd put on her tape of all these classics. The memories from this video were flowing!

    As a Chinese, I almost heard all these classical musics before through Radio channel in Hong Kong. Yet none of them I can recall their names. Now as a seniors, It is so happy to listen them again even though I know nothing about the background of these classical musics taking about and their composers. Yet their melody are very very good . This confirms that music is no boundaries like some Chinese songs also have their fans with different nationalities.
