Classical music generally refers to the formal musical tradition of the Western world, considered to be distinct from Western folk music or popular music traditions. It is sometimes distinguished as Western classical music, as the term "classical music" also refers to non-Western traditions which exhibit similar formal qualities. In addition to formality, classical music is often characterized by complexity in its musical form and harmonic organization, particularly with the use of polyphony. Since at least the 9th century it has been primarily a written tradition, spawning a sophisticated notational system, as well as accompanying literature in analytical, critical, historiographical, musicological and philosophical practices. A foundational component of Western Culture, classical music is frequently seen from the perspective of individual or groups of composers, whose compositions, personalities and beliefs have fundamentally shaped its history.

I have discovered that classical music can be played in the background when studying literally any subject and it never diverts my attention like pop songs. its amazing
it actually improves your ability to focus and is better for studying
@@jessicasmith-rz6is it also eliminate alot of background noise outside room, help in focus alot
Cos there's no stupid lyrics playing with your emotions
It is said that.... a blind girl asked Beethoven how the moon looked like. She had never seen her beauty and was tremendously curious. Beethoven didnt know how to tell it as no visual description could help the girl. He understood that the only way was telling it in the language of emotions...This is how and why "moonlight Sonata" was composed.

Yeah when I’m stressed out I put classical music or when doing homework.Actually every time:D
Listening to this makes me more focused, relaxed and in peace. I love classical music, it talks without words. ❤
THIS. THIS is exactly how i see classical music. people are like “why would you listen to that? it doesn’t even have words” I let what i feel make the words, it doesn’t have to say anything. i can just feel the song and think. what other reason should i need 🥲

That's not true, actually this music has been listened, played and studied for centuries. If you mean this is not a "mass consumer object", it doesn't matter, it never was.
Yes
They do listen to it.. everyday in one way or another. Either with movies and cartoons, or their influence on most music composed since :)
Now this is Classical!!
I don't know why but I feel a big connection with classical music, it raises my spirit. I've always been a k-pop, rap, and love song girl but I love classical music. I feel such a big connection and I've even started learning violin. But I need to calm down because there's so many things I wanna do, like ballet. I'm also playing clarinet so I have too much on my plate. Learning French and Russian. I really have to chill loll 💕💕💕.
Edit: I thought I was only listening for 10 minutes but I'm down to 60 😅
the thing that sucks about liking classical music is when you forget the name of a song you really like, there is no way you’re gonna find it again.

Classical music is on another level all by itself. No controversy-because classic is respected.
I started listening to classical music a long time ago, but not as intensively as in the last few months, and I can say that it has affected my life in an incredible way. One anecdote: "My son entered the house, heard music (I used to listen with headphones, and said: "It's like I entered a movie, it's great" :)

Sandro Saladze yeah , nobody will remember the crazy and fucking ..... Despasito...
Same Feeling. LOL
Its because classic is Not just music, classic is much more its a type of our feelings and emotions. More than this "New" music.
Bill Gates;
Classic IS music, not everyone likes it nor not everyone hates it. If you say that Classical is a type of feelings or emotions, wouldn't you think that every single music IS also a type of feelings or emotions? Even the bad songs gives us the emotions of hatred towards it, or maybe just plain boredom.
If you feel more emotions towards through this music, then good for you. So do other people who feel happy, smooth, and sweet on jazz music, hardcore, cool and relatable through rap music, catchy and feel like dancing through pop music, etc.
Just like Classical got Beethoven, Bach, Mozart and Chopin
Pop got MJ, Whitney, Madonna, and Prince
Rap got Eminem, Kendrick, Tupac and Biggie
Rock got Queen, Rush, Guns N' Roses and Led Zeppelin, etc.
And even EDM (Which I call, the modern classical) has Zedd, NGHTMRE, GRiZ, etc. And most of the best producers/DJs are classically trained!
It's the same thing all over again.
Anyways, in conclusion for this comment, Classical is basically music. No other way to best describe it other than that.
I love any kind of genre, whether it is rap, rock, EDM, Classical, Jazz, and maybe even some Pop, and I ain't a musical student (Although I can play piano and drums). So that's my take in. Thanks for reading

Alek Cri There is no better, its all personal preference.

I wonder if the people around during the creation of these sings realised they were experiencing one of the greatest ages of music ever.
I will suspect those living during this period were unaware of the forever living music.
True fact.. makes me wonder what kind of music were gonna leave behind for future generations..😔 jeez Nicki Minaj, really?
@@Tricasmed I know its sad. Go listen to some 80s music or some gunship if you feel like something more modern. It will make you feel better. :)
makes me relax the old days
Fact is. They did not. Often they were really shocked about new music und styles. So people back than really didn't know.
Didn't realize until now how much classical music is everywhere. I've heard all of these at least once in either movies or tv shows and I love that.
tom and jerry :D

Roblox as well! Kids hear these but don't know it's classical and sometimes the actual name. It's a great way to get them to appreciate these wonderful musicians though.
@@DreamingDarlin usually they hear classical stuff that has been turned into a meme song

Господи как это прекрасно - хочется плакать благодарными слезами. Но как э т о далеко от нашей нынешней жизни, и от этого плакать хочется ещё больше. Неужели жизнь не сохранит эту музыку до иных, лучших времён!
Somewhere someone is having a really bad day, and I hope you find this random message and know I may not know your face or your problems but that doesn’t mean I don’t care.
Your days will get better soon I’m more than positive about that.

HK Adler - Hear Hear .... It's very therapeutic indeed!
Sad that people these days dont create ass many masterpieces like the ones in this video
@@josefn738 there are still masterpieces, just not of the "classical" genre, many rock, ,pop, EDM tracks and songs can be considered masterpieces. Of course if yourself are alot into only one genre and not the other you may not think so. There are many masterpieces out there for you to find ;)

The best music for my new born baby ❤ it makes him calm and relaxed. When my son cries I justt turn this Legendary music on and everything comes to fine ❤
Same for my daughter. She loves it.
My kid will be playing this if i have any say... LoL that is 1 thing I feel is a must in life is music, and with that being said what better tools to give them than being able to play music...?
👶😘🥰
Not like my neighbor... She sing to her baby a repetitive verse of a kid song with a bad voice... And she makes me listen to this music loud, cause i can't sleep when she's singing :'(
I prefer the baby crying than she singing... I'm not a bad person, I'm tired
@@MadJackChurchiII 😃😃 I feel you mate 🙄
I grew up listening to the classical music station on airplanes and fell in love with it at a young age. I only associated it with my travels, I’m now listening on the patio relaxing or while working is even more beautiful 😍

It's wonderful! Being a Music Major and Retired Educator of general (K-12) and vocal music, it soothes me after along day.
instrumental music is the best
Fun fact: What actually happens is that the calming effect induced by classical music releases dopamine to spike pleasure. The dopamine also prevents the release of stress hormones. From here, mood is improved, which therefore clarifies thinking - making tasks like essay writing and studying a lot more enjoyable.

I am a teenager and I love this kind of music! Any others like me?
Im a teenager who's a big Rock/Metal fan from thats from the 1970s-2000s. While I don't listen to classical music, it doesn't mean I don't enjoy it.
For some reason I had the urge to put on classical music. It's very relaxing and quite possibly the foundation of all music we know of today, so how could I not respect that.
Huge respects to all classical enjoyers such as yourself
I am the same
you sound like an insufferable prick

So calm and precious
Any one else get really really sick and tired of the poison of modern music that does nothing but make you depressed and anxious, and realize that this kind of music is actually good for you?
This helps with anxiety so much.
Just realizing that Tom and Jerry used a lot of the Classics.

The show was to teach the generation about classical music that's why we all heard this music but we never knew the name of it or where
@@sarrasarra7428 lol the show was not made to teach kids classical music, might be digging a little too deep into that one.. but idk
There's a reason why it's called classical music, it's because it never gets old.
Well yes, but actually no
Actually it is called classical music because by the time it was written/performed, only people of higher economical class could have access to this kind of music. That happened because there were no means to record sound, so you could only hear it when it was performed live. I used to think that too, though.
literally the volume is all the way up, and i have headphones on. YET i can STILL hear my moms mexican music.
Fine as wine.
