Very fun video, just one little thing I wanted to comment on, turn down the background music a little, sometimes it's very difficult to hear you, but apart from that little problem very cool video, always good to see people talking about Rhythm Heaven❤ also... The touch screen thing is not just you. Everyone I know that has played rhythm heaven (DS) has also complained about how inconsistent and janky the touch screen can be sometimes. It can lead to some songs being very frustrating to beat (cough cough rhythm rally 2).
Makes me happy seeing rhythm heaven content as a huge fan of the series so I’d like to nerd out a bit with some things you mentioned in the video. For the GBA release it was actually agreed with team that releasing it on the gba is a bad idea and were worried it wouldn’t do as well but they started getting more motivated to complete the game. For example they started all taking dancing lessons to help get a better rhythm and a lot of them were feeling more confident with creating the game. Originally rhythm tweezers was going to let you pluck the hairs off of faces (the faces would be people from the game developers) but they changed it because it sounded pretty gross. I do sorta agree with rhythm heaven ds having wonky controls sometimes but I don’t think I’d change it to button controls. Games like rockers, love lab, love lizards, built to scale, and of course dj school feels a lot more fun to play by being able to flick the screen with a stylus I feel like while they technically could be translated to button controls it wouldn’t be as fun to play imo. Great video though this was a nice watch.
